I moved into the upper floor apartment in October. My potted plants have visibly revived, a testament to the healthy conditions for people as well. Good energy.

Hyrsylän Mutka, located in Saukkola, Lohja, is not a traditional residential neighborhood but rather a unique cultural destination steeped in Finnish Karelian heritage. Created by the beloved Finnish figure Aira Samulin, it offers a peaceful countryside setting surrounded by forests, lakes, and charming rural landscapes.
The area is ideal for those who appreciate quiet living with a creative and nostalgic twist. Visitors and nearby residents can enjoy a variety of activities, such as exploring the Hirsilinna Doll and Toy Museum, browsing antique shops housed in restored barns, and sipping coffee in beautifully decorated vintage interiors. The site also features outdoor art installations, war history exhibits, and scenic walking paths that make it a delightful place to spend time.
While not a residential hub in itself, the surrounding Saukkola area provides a friendly, small-town atmosphere with access to nature and cultural experiences, making it a lovely place for those seeking tranquility and inspiration.
