We have kayaks, a wood-fired bathtub, a mountain dairy house and lots of space in and around the house. The boat-building traditions of Bjørkedal are well-known beyond the borders of Norway. Here, multiple replicas of Viking ships were created. Recently, the Bjørkedal boat builders constructed the world's longest tall ship, which is now on exhibit in Nordfjordeid. Nordfjordeid is a 15-minute drive from Bjørkedal. Twice a week, we go together in our 7-seat car for shopping, cafes, etc.
Bjørkedal is ideal for day trips to the West Cape, Måløy, Grotlesanden, Runde and Ålesund, Geiranger, and the Sunnmøre Alps. The aim of opening up the house for colivers is not only to create a society inside the society but that we can make an impact in Bjørkedal. Cooperation between borders is needed.
