Sant Gervasi was officially annexed to Barcelona in 1897, and thanks to its proximity to Collserola Mountain, it became the preferred location for Barcelona’s bourgeoisie to build their second homes in the 19th century. Today, it remains one of the city’s most elegant and peaceful residential areas.
The neighborhood boasts a rich architectural heritage, blending grand manor houses with unique landmarks such as Santa Maria de la Bonanova Church and the historic Valldonzella Convent. Designed as a garden city, Avinguda del Tibidabo serves as its central artery, surrounded by green spaces that offer a direct connection to nature.
In addition to its beauty and serenity, Sant Gervasi is home to some of Barcelona’s top hospitals and universities, including Clínica Teknon, Abat Oliva CEU University, La Salle Bonanova, ESIC, UIC, and IQS. It’s the ideal spot for those seeking a refined urban lifestyle, complete with comfort, greenery, and prestige.
