We are a group of five friends who came together to create something truly special — a unique rural hotel and getaway designed for rest, connection, and inspiration.

Our mission is simple yet deeply meaningful: to offer a space where you can slow down, relax, and reconnect with yourself, while also building authentic relationships with others. Here, conversations flow easily, meals are shared, and friendships are formed with people from all walks of life.

We believe in the power of learning from one another, exchanging ideas, and celebrating our differences. Through this exchange, our community becomes richer and more vibrant.

Rooted in the heart of Portugal, our space is also a tribute to the country’s culture and traditions. We want every guest to experience the warmth of Portuguese hospitality — whether through a shared meal made with local ingredients, music played under the stars, or joining us for cultural activities that showcase the heritage of this beautiful region.

For us, this project is more than just a place to stay; it’s a living, breathing community — a home where you can recharge, be inspired, and leave with memories (and connections) that last a lifetime.

Cultural Cities in the Neighborhood
The region surrounding Alvados offers a rich tapestry of historic and cultural cities, each with its own distinctive character:

Alcobaça
Renowned for its UNESCO-listed Monastery of Alcobaça, this city captivates visitors with its Gothic architecture and the legendary love story of Pedro and Inês. The historic center is charming, dotted with artisan shops, colorful tiles, and welcoming cafés. Alcobaça is also known for unique events like the International Exhibition of Conventual Sweets and Liqueurs, reflecting the deep local ties to Cistercian monastic traditions and artisanal gastronomy.

Batalha
Batalha is distinguished by the imposing Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, a masterpiece of Portuguese Gothic and Manueline styles, itself a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built to commemorate the pivotal Battle of Aljubarrota, the monastery is the heart of the town, while the surrounding area hosts vibrant fairs, historical reenactments, and cultural festivals throughout the year.

Tomar
Famous for its well-preserved Templar heritage, Tomar is home to the Convent of Christ, a World Heritage site blending Gothic, Manueline, and Renaissance influences. The city is decorated with historic churches, a medieval castle, and the ancient Synagogue of Tomar, now a Jewish museum. Every four years, the Festa dos Tabuleiros (Festival of the Trays) transforms Tomar into a vivid celebration of tradition and communal spirit.

Fátima
Globally recognized as a center of faith, Fátima draws millions of pilgrims annually to its Sanctuary, Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, and Chapel of Apparitions. Beyond its spiritual allure, Fátima preserves the humble homes of the shepherd children, museums of sacred art, and hosts religious processions and cultural exhibitions throughout the year.

Leiria
This vibrant city features the striking hilltop Castle of Leiria, medieval old town streets, and lively local festivals such as the Leiria Medieval Fair. Leiria is also celebrated for its rich culinary scene, traditional crafts, and dynamic cultural life filled with music and artistic events
Nazaré: Big Waves and Surf Events
Just a short drive from Alvados, the coastal town of Nazaré stands out as a global surf destination thanks to its record-breaking giant waves at Praia do Norte. The main big wave season runs from October to March, drawing world-class surfers and spectators hoping to witness waves that can reach up to 30 meters high. The best viewing spot is next to the lighthouse at the Fort of São Miguel Arcanjo, where visitors gather to experience the surf spectacle and the vibrant local atmosphere.
