Not quite Asia and not quite Europe, Turkey is a melting pot of the East and the West. Remote workers include it on their coliving adventure so they can enjoy a bit of everything.

Some of the country’s most beautiful mosques are worth checking out - the country has over 80,000 of them. There are many other things to do, including visiting picturesque, turquoise hot springs, and mountainside tombs.

It’s fairly easy to get to and from your coliving space - by air, bus, or train. Car rentals are possible but depending where you are the roads can get a bit rough. For longer rides, the train is preferable over the bus, especially if you can find an air-conditioned one.

Turkish cuisine is quite rich - just think of their delicious desserts, like Turkish delight, and baklava. Turks also have many kinds of delicious bread to go with their soups and dips at every meal. Breakfast can also be pretty epic - eggs are prepared beautifully here.

The Turkish climate is different depending on where you are. On the Mediterranean or Aegean seas, summers are hot and dry while winters are cool and wet. By the Black Sea, it’s a bit cooler and wet year-round. Further inland, summers are warm and winters often drop below freezing.

- A few hundred years ago, Turkish women could legally divorce their husbands if they didn't provide enough coffee
