It is a historical building that is worth a visit.
A very comfortable apartment to stay in. It had everything you need while staying in a coliving space: regular kitchen, hot shower, laundry, fast internet, comfortable and spacious living space. The co-work space is literally 100m from the apartment.
There are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby and the train station is a 10-minute walk. You can be in the centre of Kyoto in around 40 minutes when you want to go.
It is a really nice and peaceful area. I'd wholeheartedly recommend this as a place to go if you have work you want to concentrate on.
It is also near the Arashiyama scenic area, about 25 minutes walk away or 2 stops on the train, if you feel like taking a break and getting some nature.
It was a great coliving space with a retro atmosphere. You can see the autumn leaves from the window, so it's perfect for visiting in the fall. The staff is also at home and a place where you will want to come again
During my stay in Kyoto I used this place for about three weeks. It's a great place to experience the atmosphere of an old traditional Japanese building. The surroundings and gardens give a great peaceful view while working. Staff is friendly and always helpful in sharing tips about food and activities in town. Greatly recommended as this is a truly unique coliving space in Kyoto! Thank you Yamaguchi, Akane and Yuki-san!
beautiful coliving space in a 400 year old machiya. calm atmosphere and really nice people! (and also a really cute dog). definitely recommend!
Peacefull place, best for working on PC, developing your ideas or just reading a book.
I rented this coliving as a workspace for a business trip to Kyoto. There were no other guests and it was reserved just for me. Even though it is registered as a tangible cultural property, I was able to use it for only 2200 yen per day.
Unfortunately, due to back-to-back meetings, I didn't have enough time to relax and enjoy the garden. However, it was still a wonderful place.
