Lava Coliving

Very good accommodation, in the center of the island and quite affordable for the services it offers. My stay was almost a month, and the hosts were very attentive and kind to us. The kittens are adorable!! Highly recommended :)

I stayed at a coliving for 2 months and it became a home for me! The best coliving in Sao Miguel✨ Feels like living in a luxury house with a washer, dryer, home cinema, lots of space, and most importantly, with a lovely cuddly cat!
I loved the community events and the people here.

I came for 15 days and stayed in the waterfall room and in the ocean room.

I liked this style of coliving because it has a calm vibe, with private spaces to make video calls if necessary.

There are coordinated activities for the week that you can join if you want, and if you prefer to do your own thing, you also have the freedom.

The rooms and spaces are very clean, and they offer laundry once a week with a dryer included.

There is a free tea bar for those who want it, and many kitchen utensils, even glass containers.

They have a home cinema upstairs, which you can connect to your laptop to watch series.

Additionally, the owner is an animal lover, and we have a cat in the house. During my stay, a rescued puppy came one morning, and I offered to take care of it because I love animals.

The location is central, perfect for visiting the center, west (sete cidades), and east (furnas). It is necessary to have a car, but there is plenty of space to park.

If you don’t have a car, don’t worry because the coliving companions will surely offer to help you get wherever you need to go.

In general, a perfect 10 experience!

I really liked the place. The house was well equipped and regularly cleaned, and my room had a beautiful view. The neighborhood was pleasant, and whenever I had a question, the team was very responsive. What I liked less was that, compared to other colivings I’ve stayed at, there was less of a community feel; it felt a bit less personal. I provided some feedback to the team and appreciated their openness to make changes in response.

Had a very nice stay here. A great mix of remote work and hiking in the afternoon.

The two weeks I spent at the coliving flew by so quickly. It’s a great place to stay and work remotely. It’s a beautiful, spacious house with everything you need and much more. You can work with a great view of the mountains, or the ocean, or in a coworking space—whatever you like. There’s even a gym, so no excuse; you can exercise. And there's a projector to watch movies in a cozy, warm atmosphere with a cat who also likes to watch movies.

The staff is super friendly, ready to help and advise on the best places to visit, making everything very comfortable, so you feel at home at the coliving.
I made friends there; I hope to see them again :)
The Azores are so beautiful; you’ll never have enough time to see everything there, so I hope to come back for more experiences!

Coliving is great! The house is large and beautiful with lots of space to work or relax. It’s impeccably clean. The Internet works flawlessly. The best part about it is the warm and welcoming staff who made me feel right at home. I would definitely go back again. Highly recommended.

Coliving is a great place to stay as a remote worker visiting Saõ Miguel. The hosts were absolutely lovely to get to know and they were very helpful throughout my 3-week stay. The facilities were great, and it’s possible to either work from your room or from the coworking space, which has additional monitors if you need them. It was great getting to meet like-minded people and to have a base while I explored the island.
