This neighborhood offers scenic views of mountains and lakes. Maegra is a small village, and next to it is a wonderful authentic family-run Italian restaurant called Ristorante Pizzeria al Sole, where you can find all of the Italian classics, from traditional pizza to wood ovens.
The city of Intra/Verbania is located down the road at the lake, accessible from the property via a 25-minute bus ride. Here you can find many activities, shopping, and a wonderful Italian vibe.
Hiking options:
Right outside the doors of the complex, you will have multiple hiking options, starting from simple forest strolls to multi-day hikes in the mountains around.
Just a quick drive from us, you can find Val Grande National Park, famous for its untouched landscapes of the High Alps. The park is entirely unpopulated, making it the largest wilderness area in the Alps.
The area´s extreme attractions include the "Lago Maggiore Zipline," which is located a few minutes drive from our coliving space, and the "Wonderwood" adventure park.
Italian towns to explore:
Verbania, a short bus ride from us, is a charming city on Lake Maggiore. It boasts picturesque landscapes, historic architecture, and a vibrant cultural scene. Visitors can enjoy museums, galleries, beaches, and any service they will need for their stay (supermarkets, pharmacies, hospitals, etc.).
Visit the town of Stresa, known for its beautiful lakeside setting, promenades, and grand hotels. It's also a jumping-off point for boat tours to the Borromean Islands. It's a must-see for any visitor in the area. The islands are Isola Madre, Isola Bella, and Isola Pescatori. Isola Bella is the most famous, known for its stunning Palazzo Borromeo and elaborate Italian gardens.
Beaches and water activities:
If you fancy a short hike down to the lake (or just take the bus), you will encounter fantastic beaches with amazing views and clear waters. Here are some of the area's best lake beaches:
Suna Beach (Lido di Suna) is right on the edge of Verbania, offering a large sandy area with plenty of amenities like sun loungers, parasols, a beach bar, and a restaurant.
Ghiffa Beach: This beach is known for its clear waters and beautiful views of the lake. It's a wonderful spot for swimming and snorkeling.
Canerro Riviera Beach: Compared to the larger beaches on the lake, Cannero Riviera offers a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere.
