During your stay from late September to early December, you'll witness the transition into polar night and experience the Northern Lights regularly. Arctic tours, including visits to historic mining sites, are available for booking. Cultural events like the Dark Season Blues Festival add to the authentic Arctic experience.

Essential Arctic equipment is available for rent, including rubber boots, winter boots, and extra warm suits (so warm you will not want to wear them in town).
