For longer distances, it’s cheap and easy to catch a flight with domestic one-way flights generally between 15 and 60 depending on when you book. Busses are great for shorter distances and because prices are so low, it’s with spending the extra dollar or two on a luxury bus.

Venezuelan cuisine is a great reason to seek out coliving opportunities here - there is so much amazing affordable food to enjoy. Arepas are the country’s answer to the Mexican taco - served in a corn flour pita and stuffed with perfectly spiced meat and vegetables. Drawing on Italian influences they even make their special version of lasagna featuring some interesting spices. Finally, no South American dessert is truly complete without ‘dulce de leche’, a rich milky caramel delight.
