As Emirate’s most known city, Dubai is a hub of business and luxury. Remote workers come and enjoy coliving spaces here in search of a bit of both.

Getting around Dubai can be done by bus, metro, tram, or taxi. The city has the longest driverless metro system and stations are constantly maintained at a pleasant 68°. Taxis are pricier but easy - if you see one with a pink roof it has a female driver serve only female passengers and boys under the age of 10. The city is becoming increasingly more bike-friendly, which can be pleasant in the cooler months.

The country’s most famous landmark is the Burj Khalifa, the tallest human-built structure in the world. For keen shoppers, the Dubai Mall is the largest in the world with 1200 shops, an underwater zoo, and an ice rink. Things are limitless here. If there’s something that interests you there is a likely opportunity to do it - a perfect example is Ski Dubai, where you can ski or snowboard indoors on one of their 5 runs - and yes, there is a chair lift. Being able to have everything within reach attracts digital nomads in search of enriched coliving opportunities.

Because it is a desert climate, Dubai only has two seasons - summer and winter. Daytime summer highs are generally above 100°, while winters are around 72°. The summers are quite dry but winds are still prevalent causing frequent dust storms.

Meat, fish, and rice are the three main components of Emirati cuisine, which is known for its colors and flavors. A specialty called harees is a porridge of wheat and mutton - but don't expect to find it readily on the menu; certain dishes like this one are only served during celebrations like Ramadan or Eid.

Here are some interesting facts about Dubai:

- Dubai was still a small town only 50 years ago
- Alcohol and pork are not condoned by the Muslim religion but are available in bars and pork is sometimes available in special non-halal sections
- There is a seven-star hotel: The Burj Al Arab
- At only 15% of the population, locals are far outnumbered by expats
- Dubai has the largest flower garden in the world: The Dubai Miracle Garden
- Friday is a holy day in the Muslim religion so the workweek is Sunday to Thursday
