This house, constructed in 1965 by my grandparents Luis and Carmita to nurture their family, holds decades of memories as the residence of my father and his siblings. When I decided to renovate this familial abode, my vision was to create a delightful space for visitors in Mérida.
Since 2017, this residence has operated as a hostel, catering to travelers worldwide, groups, and families. Notably, we observed an increasing number of long-term guests eager to connect with others. Thus, from the year 2024 onward, Casa Rosa is transitioning beyond its hostel identity. Our goal is to evolve into a genuine coliving space, providing a welcoming home for extended-stay residents and travelers seeking a comfortable and tranquil environment in the heart of Mérida.
We offer a move-in-ready coliving home within a diverse, vibrant community. Embracing global individuals with a zest for life, our residents range from digital nomads to professionals, entrepreneurs, local and exchange students, all eager to share experiences. Here, a new home also means new friends; we eliminate the hassle of finding roommates, thoughtfully pairing you with like-minded peers for a fulfilling stay.
Experience tranquility in this super calm and peaceful neighborhood, nestled in the heart of Merida's most captivating area. Enjoy direct access to major transportation hubs, including the ietram passing by the front of the property. This ietram seamlessly connects to the Mayan train and the Parque de la Plancha, serving as both a tram and bus terminal. Casa Rosa is conveniently situated close to a supermarket, a convenience store, and a laundry facility. Moreover, it's just a short 5-minute stroll from Mérida's principal avenue, Paseo de Montejo.
Paseo de Montejo, often referred to as the "Champs-Élysées of Mérida," is a grand and iconic avenue that stands as a testament to the city's rich history and vibrant culture. Lined with majestic colonial-era mansions, adorned with intricate architecture, the boulevard offers a captivating journey through time. As you stroll along its wide sidewalks, you'll encounter a delightful blend of traditional and contemporary experiences. Explore chic cafes, upscale boutiques, and art galleries that showcase the talents of local and international artists. The avenue comes alive during cultural events, festivals, and parades, creating an electric atmosphere. Paseo de Montejo isn't just a street; it's a dynamic tapestry of the past and present, offering an array of experiences that capture the essence of Mérida's charm and sophistication.
