Once a forgotten traditional Portuguese farmhouse abandoned in 2016, this beautiful space has been lovingly brought back to life. Located at the end of a quiet mountain road and surrounded by wild nature, it offers a true escape—yet it's just 1 km from the charming town of Monchique.

The main house includes five cozy bedrooms—three on the ground floor and two upstairs—alongside two charming caravans, each with private entrances for peaceful seclusion. A shared community kitchen and living area offer spaces for connection and creativity.

Relax in the wood-fired sauna, filled with eucalyptus leaves and overlooking the valley. Then cool off in the mountain-water shower or dip into the plunge pool. Nearby, a magical cork oak forest filled with moss-covered Neolithic rocks provides a perfect spot for meditation.

A mountain trail starts right at the doorstep—ideal for catching breathtaking sunrises on the south side, while the western side gifts stunning sunsets daily.

Spread across three hectares, the property offers plenty of spots to relax, create, or work. Guests are encouraged to share their talents, and there’s room to host day workshops or small events.

There’s an organic veggie garden for those who love farm-to-table living, and a curated boutique offering vintage, second-hand, and handmade clothing. One of the residents also runs a ceremonial tattoo practice on-site.

Nestled in wild nature and accessible via a narrow, winding road just 1 km from town, our location offers peaceful seclusion without being too far off the map.

Monchique is a charming and authentic Portuguese town, known for its welcoming atmosphere, local farmers' market, artisan cafés, and even a cozy vegan restaurant. It remains refreshingly untouched by mass tourism.

While the beaches are just a 30-minute drive away, we often prefer the serenity of the nearby river for wild swimming. Our favorite hidden spot feels like a secluded lake, perfect for a refreshing dip. You’ll also find natural hot springs not far from here—another gem for relaxation.

Monchique lies between the Algarve’s two tallest mountains—Picota and Foia—both renowned for hiking, biking, and crystal-clear spring water. We’re also just 25 minutes from Portimão, a bustling city with everything you might need, including excellent health food stores.
