Rural Coliving Retreat with Panoramic Views & Nature Experiences in Vereda Naranjos
Tierra Adentro is a slow rural coliving space located in the mountains of Boyacá—the safest department in Colombia—near the páramo ecosystem and Lake Tota, the second largest navigable lake in South America.
It is not a hotel, not a retreat. It is a place to slow down and go through a process of vital recalibration.
Most people arrive here after periods of overload: too much work, too many screens, too much noise, and not enough clarity. They are not looking for activities or entertainment, but for space.
The house spans 1,500 m² and opens to the landscape: mountains, lake, eucalyptus forest, and rural life. All rooms are private, spacious, and designed for long stays.
There is no schedule or structured program. Time naturally begins to reorganize itself.
You can work if needed (STARLINK internet is available) or disconnect for a while. Move between the 200 m² edible garden, shared kitchen, forest, stone fire pit, lake, or mountain trails.
Some experiences emerge without structure: mindful forest walks (shinrin-yoku), yoga with available mats, reading in a library with over 70 curated books on well-being, spirituality, slow living, and agroecology, or simply observing without purpose.
You can also engage with the garden—planting, harvesting, or reconnecting with the origin of food as a way to return to what is essential.
In the evenings, it is common to prepare a foot soak with rosemary, eucalyptus, and lavender from the garden, or simply pause. It is also common to spend time around the fire, observe the animals, or listen to the environment: birds, water, and the frogs singing at dusk by the lake.
Some moments happen in community without structure: on Fridays the fire is lit and a traditional fermented drink is shared. Sometimes someone proposes cooking in the wood-fired kitchen or using the BBQ. Other times, nothing happens at all.
A local food network is being built with nearby producers: organic milk, free-range eggs, artisanal honey, high-quality Colombian coffee, and pure cacao.
During your stay, support is simple and human: Constanza guides you before arrival through the platform, and Claudia (Host Name), the on-site community manager, helps you settle in and navigate the space.
Community is not forced. It emerges.
Stays are long. So are the decisions that bring people here.
Tierra Adentro is not an escape. It is a place to stay long enough to understand what comes next.

Community
You won’t find parties or forced social life here. You will find people between 35 and 55 years old who, like you, arrive after periods of high professional demand, digital overload, and accumulated exhaustion.
We are an international community of experienced professionals (mainly from Europe and North America) choosing long stays of 1 to 3 months to slow down, continue working remotely if needed, and go through a process of vital recalibration.
The community is built on three simple principles:
Autonomy and respect
Each person moves at their own rhythm. Silence, privacy, and personal space are an essential part of the experience. There are no mandatory activities or forced social dynamics.
Presence and simplicity
Life here is direct and unfiltered: mountains, lake, forest, an organic garden, walks, a stone fire pit, animals, and simple daily rhythms. You can engage with food growing, share time around the fire, or simply observe the landscape with no agenda.
Conscious coexistence
We are not here to maximize interaction, but to value meaningful encounters. Community emerges naturally, without pressure, respecting each person’s time and inner process.
There are no parties and no nightlife noise. The environment is designed to support deep rest, mental clarity, and reconnection.
Our mission
To offer a space and time that is stable, quiet, and real enough for people to step out of autopilot, restore energy, and go through their own process of vital recalibration.
We believe the real luxury is not stimulation, but sustained tranquility—a place where you don’t need to go anywhere else to start coming back to yourself.

About Vereda Naranjos
Tierra Adentro is located in Vereda Naranjos, a rural area where life still follows rhythms that have disappeared in many other places.
The families here have lived on this land for generations.
It is common to see farmers working with their donkeys and hear their braying at dawn, along with the crowing of roosters and, at certain moments, the distant sound of irrigation motors accompanying agricultural work in the fields.
Life moves at a slow pace and is shaped by activities such as dairy farming and onion cultivation.
Traditional craftsmanship is still present: grandmothers hand-spinning wool, or people like Don Rodolfo, who has operated a small stone mill for more than 30 years, now assisted by a simple motor that eases the work without changing its essence.
Beyond the experience within the property, if you wish to explore the surrounding region, there are several places you can visit:
The Suamox Archaeological Museum, which offers insight into the Muisca culture and its spiritual relationship with the territory. In this same cultural axis of the high plateau, it is also possible to complement the visit with wildlife observation experiences, such as birdwatching of the Apollinar’s wren (Cistothorus apolinari), an endemic species of Colombia, associated with the high Andean wetlands of the Eastern Cordillera, especially around the Lake Tota ecosystem and surrounding areas, currently considered vulnerable and in need of conservation attention.
The high mountain landscapes of the Siscunsí and Ocetá Páramos, unique ecosystems in the world found only in Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela, recognized for their exceptional biodiversity, their crucial role in water regulation, and their sacred significance within Andean cultures.
In addition, within our local area we have a trusted partner who offers immersive coffee experiences, where guests can discover and taste some of the finest coffees of Colombia. These experiences include an introduction to origin, cultivation and processing methods, and aroma and flavor profiles, offering a grounded and sensory connection to one of the country’s most representative products.
For these excursions, we work with a trusted local tourism partner who can assist with logistics, transportation, and guiding if needed.
These are only some of the options available for those who wish to explore the territory, always aligned with the same philosophy of the place: no rush, no fixed structures, and at your own rhythm.

As much as we love animals, pets are not allowed.
This is a shared living environment, and some people may have allergies or need a high level of cleanliness and calm.
Taking care of everyone’s well-being is a core part of the experience.
Please note that additional person charges will apply.
Most are professionals in their late 30s to early 50s, with established careers… but a growing need to pause and rethink something.
Many arrive mentally tired, digitally overloaded, or with questions they haven’t had time to face.
They also share a genuine interest in nature, well-being, and a more conscious approach to food.
They’re not here to “travel” or constantly socialize.
They come to slow down, think clearly, and reconnect with a simpler way of being.
This naturally creates a calm, respectful environment—and often, more meaningful connections than expected.
We’ll also ask whether you’re coming alone or with a second person.
In addition, we include a few short questions about your current situation, your work, and what you’re looking for during your time here.
This helps us understand if the space is a good fit for you and allows us to take care of the overall experience.
Beyond basic details, we pay attention to whether someone is in a moment where they can genuinely benefit from a slower, calmer environment without rigid structure.
We also value a respectful approach to shared living, as well as an interest in nature, well-being, and a more conscious way of relating to time and space.
It’s not about meeting strict requirements, but about creating the right balance for everyone.
It depends on availability before or after your stay, as we need some time to prepare the room between guests.
If you need it, feel free to check with us in advance and we’ll confirm as soon as possible.
It all depends on availability at that moment.
If needed, we’ll look into it with you and see what options are possible.
It’s a straightforward process that helps maintain clarity and a smooth experience within the space.
If you have any questions, we’re here to guide you through it.
We focus more on getting to know you—your current situation, what you’re looking for, and how you approach shared living.
They are mainly intended for enjoying the surroundings—walking trails, the lake, the mountain, and outdoor areas.
Inside the house, visitors are welcome in the shared spaces, but not in private rooms.
To preserve the calm atmosphere of the place, visits are allowed until 6:00 pm and are not intended to be frequent or overnight.
If you have something specific in mind, feel free to check with us.
We aim to maintain a calm and respectful environment, so this is not a place for parties or excessive drinking.
On Fridays, we gather around a stone fire pit and share guarapo (a traditional drink) with those who wish to join.
Fire holds a meaningful place in Muisca culture as an element of transformation, and for us it’s simply a point of connection—a space to slow down, talk, or sit in silence.
No structure, no expectations.
Each person experiences it in their own way.
In addition, we are in the process of gradually equipping each room with a set of elements designed to support a more self-directed experience.
This includes simple tools for everyday rituals and well-being: ways to prepare coffee and herbal infusions, a comfortable portable chair to use in different areas of the land, a thermos for hot drinks, an electric kettle, a yoga mat, and items for relaxation practices such as foot soaks using plants from the garden (eucalyptus, rosemary, lavender), among others.
Through us, you’ll also have access to high-quality Colombian coffee and cacao, local honey, and artisanal ghee made by us—small elements you can incorporate into your mornings or quiet moments.
The intention is not to offer structured activities, but to make space for small, personal experiences that each person can naturally integrate into their time here.
You can do your laundry using the washing machine and drying areas. Detergent and fabric softener are provided to keep things simple.
This service comes at an additional cost.
The idea is for you to easily integrate this into your routine during your stay.
We work with trusted local partners who know the area well. Once your booking is confirmed, you can share your travel details and we’ll connect you directly to coordinate the service.
The transfer is door-to-door and can accommodate up to 4 people.
There are different spaces you can use depending on what you need—both indoors and outdoors.
We also have a dedicated coworking space with STARLINK internet, for those who need a more stable connection and focused work time.
Our team takes care of cleaning the room before the next guest arrives, so the space is kept in good condition for everyone.
Inside the house, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, several dining areas, living rooms, and a game room with a pool table and a professional table tennis setup.
Outside, the space opens into the surrounding landscape, with areas such as the fire pit, BBQ area, a wood-fired kitchen with stove and oven, eucalyptus forest, lake, walking paths, and an edible garden designed for quiet observation, where hummingbirds are often present.
These are spaces you can naturally move through and use in different ways throughout the day, depending on what you need.
The most common nationalities include Germany, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Canada, and the United States, although we occasionally welcome people from other countries who share the same life stage: seeking a pause, clarity, and vital recalibration after periods of high professional demand.
It is not a homogeneous community in terms of origin, but in terms of life stage. Most guests have established careers, 10 to 20 years of professional experience, and a shared need to slow down in order to realign priorities.
