Coliving for Giovani professionisti in Anversa offre una nuova interpretazione degli alloggi tradizionali, combinando abilmente i vantaggi della vita in comune con le esigenze particolari di Giovani professionisti...

Pronounced ‘Anvers’ in French and ‘Antwerpen’ in Dutch, Antwerp is the most populous city in Belgium. Digital nomads are drawn to this city as it is one of the more affordable cities in Belgium.

The city is quite small so it’s easy to get around by foot or by bicycle for those wanting to be more active. The city’s tram and bus system is great if you need a break from walking. They offer single fares and different passes based on your needs.

The main attraction is the city’s history and amazing architecture - just look at the Central Train Station. Being an older city it boasts many museums, cathedrals, and one of the largest zoos, open since 1843.

The city is home to some of the best food stops. Although not the healthiest cuisine, Belgians make some of the tastiest foods. Classic foods to try are French fries and “croquettes” - breadcrumb-coated mashed potato dumplings that are stuffed and then deep-fried.

Close to the coast, Antwerp’s climate is described as oceanic. Remote works who enjoy coliving spaces in weather similar to Southern England are best suited here. Summers are warm generally around the mid-70s during the day, while winters are cold, a bit above freezing in the high 30s and low 40s. Nicest, driest months are April and May while July has the most rain.

Here are some fun facts about Antwerp:

- The official language in the city is Dutch
- The city is named after a mythical giant named Antigoon - he supposedly demanded a toll from anyone who wanted to cross the Scheldt river. He severed the hand of anyone who wouldn’t pay
- Building on the local folklore, a classic cookie called Antwerp hands are available - cookies in the shape of hands of those lost to Antigoon
- The city is settled on both sides of a river so there are three underground tunnels used to cross it
- The world’s first printed newspaper was published in Antwerp nearly 400 years ago
