The host was truly present from start to finish, it was simple and perfect!

Moved to the city on short notice for a job and didn't know a single person in the city. The host made that transition so much easier; it's genuinely hard to feel lonely when you're sharing a house with people instead of living alone in a random apartment. That said, you get out of it what you put in, both with housemates and with how you engage with the managers.My one piece of advice: pick your house carefully. Don't just go off location or room price; look at the house vibe and who's already living there, since that matters more than people expect. I've also noticed real improvement in how the host is run over the past few months; it feels like a more professional operation now than when I first moved in.Overall, highly recommend if you're new to the city or just want a built-in social life without the hassle of finding roommates yourself.

The host has been the perfect place to find my feet whilst starting out in London. The facilities have been great; it's been easy to reach out and get support from staff when needed, and it's been the perfect mix of professional and comfortable! And the fact that there are locations across Europe gives a sense of consistency and community with an ever-moving job. Love it!

Check it out, have a quick phone call, send your ID and financials, pick a room, and look over your lease before signing. What can normally take months of searching is, with the host, super simple and quick.I had been looking forward to staying in the host's new location in the city; however, an apartment of my own fell into my lap at the last minute (which, if you'll be living in the city for several years, is too good an opportunity to pass up in the city's rental market).Thankfully, the host gives you two weeks after signing your lease to cancel free of charge — easy and straightforward. Even later on, if you're living there, you can continue your long-term housing search at your own pace, and will only need to provide one month's notice to cancel your lease agreement.The host might not be the absolute cheapest option for students or expats, but for me, the immediate relief and lack of stress were well worth it. Plus, their spaces also look really nice and seem to have great atmospheres!
