Seoul is known for its ancient palaces—there are five in the city. If you happen to be in South Korea in October, you should visit Jinju, where there is a lantern festival. The festival commemorates the thousands of people who died in the Imjin War fighting the Japanese. However, the festival is no sombre occasion. There’s food and drink to be had and, of course, it’s a great opportunity to sample traditional food outside the capital city.
If you are in South Korea in late April, go to Jindo and cross the land bridge connecting the main island to a smaller one. The festival to attend is the Jindo Moses Miracle Festival. If you don’t fancy that, go to the Jinhae Cherry Blossom Festival to see the magnificent blossoms.

Go to a jjimjilbang (a public bath), where you can relax with people of your own gender.
Are you addicted to fish and seafood? Then you really must visit Jagalchi Fish Market in Busan. It’s the largest one of its kind in South Korea. You can choose what you want to eat, and it will be cooked while you wait and watch.
