Bilbao is a northern port city in Spain and de facto capital of Basque country. It’s ideal for digital nomads seeking a coliving experience in a city of perfect size - not too big and certainly not too small.

Don’t even think about asking for tapas here - in the Basque region they’re called “pintxos.” Meaning “toothpick food,” the correct pronunciation is “peen-chos.” Like many coastal cities in Spain, there is plenty of fish to eat - cod is the regional specialty, which is prepared several ways here.

Bilbao has a temperate, subtropical climate. Temperatures are quite mild, with the high 50s in the winter and high 70s in the summer. Nights are always cool. Like much of northern Europe, the city has high rainfall, giving the region its luscious, green color.
