Koh Lanta is a small island laying off the west coast of mainland Thailand in the Andaman sea. It’s known for its scuba diving, white sand beaches, and is perfect for coliving couples looking to join the digital nomad community for a long term stay. May to October is considered monsoon season, with strong rains sometimes as frequent as every day. The best time to visit this little gem is November to April with temperatures average here at 25ºC to 32ºC year-round while the water holds a nice temperature of 29ºC.

Koh Lanta is a quieter version of Koh Phi Phi and has become popular with slightly older crowds in the past decade. With plenty of beaches perfect for long sunset walks and great nightlife and bars as well. Koh Lanta is a popular couples retreat island making it a great romantic getaway to experience. Digital nomads have begun to flock here all while working remotely on this trendy island. While there are still plenty of nightlife options, don’t let that put you off if you're looking for quiet. There is still so much peace and tranquility that can be found just outside of the main tourist area, which is great for the digital nomad ex-pat community.

Although there is not a hub airport on the island itself, there are still plenty of ways to get to this beautiful island. The closest airports include Krabi, Trang and a little further away is Phuket international. With flights coming in from all around the world, making this the easiest and most likely the cheapest port of entry to get to Koh Lanta.
