Coliving Spaces in Kambodscha

With an average temperature of 28 Celsius during the supposed 'cool' season and remarkable natural vistas, Cambodia is an ideal place for digital nomads. The country manages to maintain its rustic beauty, while its plethora of co-living spaces provide comfortable modern accommodations and uninterrupted access to high-speed internet. This Southeast-Asian gem is sandwiched between its neighbors, Thailand and Vietnam, and sits on the scenic Gulf of Thailand.

Cambodia has become a staple of the adventurous traveler's bucket list. The country is most renowned for the ancient UNESCO site, Angkor Wat, located in the city of Siem Reap in the northwest. Built upon 500 acres, Angkor Wat, or temple, has captivated visitors with its sheer opulence and intricately embellished exteriors. There are many ways to travel between Siem Reap and Cambodia's other main city, Phnom Penh in the south. Cambodia Angkor Air's low-cost flights service the two cities several times a day and for a more scenic drive, you can catch a bus or rent a car cheaply.

Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh, is home to just a little over 1.5 million people and draws digital nomads from all over the world. English is widely spoken, and U.S. currency is most likely accepted here. Phnom Penh is whirlwind of juxtaposition; ancient temples tended by Buddhist monks are mere steps away from newly-opened 5-star hotels. The Boeung Keng Kang 1 area, known for its cozy cafes and upscale hotels, is a popular neighborhood for new arrivals.

It's easy to indulge in Cambodian culture and history. You can enjoy the elegant movements of traditional Cambodian dance shows at the National Museum, or gain more insight into the strength and tenacity of today's Cambodian people by visiting one of the many museums dedicated to country's complex history. Venture a bit more out on the beaten track and you will find elephants frolicking in their natural habitat, picturesque waterfalls, nature preserves, and French colonial-era architecture aging gracefully in sleepy market towns.

Cambodian cuisine on the surface may look similar to those of its neighbors, but it contains distinct Khmer flavors. One dish that is the source of national pride is Amok trey, or fish seeped in a coconut-milk-based soup that is wrapped in banana leaves and steamed for hours.
