Laid in the shape of an airplane, this planned city of white modern architecture was inaugurated as Brazil’s capital in 1960. With a good transport network, great Internet, huge blue skies, Brasilia is a coveted destination for digital nomads wishing to find

The cost of living is certainly not exorbitant unless one might compare it with Asian countries. Local transport is convenient too. Taxis, buses and hitchhiking are considered safe but one should not plan to walk around too much in Brasilia as the city was designed with an assumption that every citizen would have an automobile. Fun and exploration are unlimited here with Amazon rainforests and tropical beaches along the Atlantic nearby. Brasilia has some extremely striking landmark monuments and buildings, plus the Brasilia National Park is a wonderful place to visit for those who love nature. Though red meat features heavily here in Brasilia, there are still options for vegetarians and vegans. One of the most popular local dishes is “feijoada” which is a stew consisting of black beans, sausages and pork cuts. Rice, polenta, corn and beans are a staple part of the diet here.
