Espaços coliving em Açores

O Coliving para Escritores e autores em Açores oferece uma nova abordagem aos alojamentos tradicionais, combinando habilmente os benefícios da vida em comum com as necessidades específicas dos Escritores e autores...

The Azores are an island chain comprised of nine volcanic islands in the north Atlantic ocean, making them a very picturesque remote coliving destination for digital nomads. The islands sit 930 miles west of mainland Portugal and offer a unique experience especially because you have nine different islands to choose from. The main industries here are dairy, livestock, fishing, and farming. This makes shopping slightly cheaper as most things can be found on the islands, but anything that is not produced here you will have to pay more for because it will have to be imported from mainland Portugal.

Each of the islands offers plenty of outdoor activities for you during your time off, such as hiking, mountain biking and some incredible beaches to visit. Between all the islands, the total population is just over 250,000 residents. This in return gives you plenty of freedom from busy city life and more time to enjoy the outdoors. Among all the islands you can find bars and restaurants in the main settlements for you to enjoy a night out with friends or family. The islands see a decent number of tourists every year here so you’re sure to meet other digital nomads along the way.

As the islands do have cars to get around, these are expensive as they must be imported from Europe. If you’re living in one of the towns, there’s really no need for a car because everything is within walking distance. The boat transportation here is quite good as well, if you’re wanting to island-hop for a weekend there are ferries to take you between all nine of the islands. Each island is also home to its own airport, most of these connect to the other airports in the Azores. Some can get you back to Lisbon, which is where you’re free to connect to the rest of the world with many direct flights.

Fun facts about The Azores:

- Year-round temperatures in the Azores range between 57°F (14°C) and 71°F (22°C)
- Mount Pico, on the island of Pico, at 7,713 feet (2350.92 meters) above sea level, is the highest point in the Azores and all of Portugal
- Although the Azores were settled by immigrants from mainland Portugal, the islands were also populated by Flemish, French, and Spaniards
