Tianjin is a trendy metropolis on the coast of the Bohai Sea in Northern China with plenty of coliving and coworking spaces to attract an international workforce.

With its interesting architectural clashes, where 19th century European-style buildings stand right next to tall glass towers, the innovative industrial and financial city of Tianjin has a unique charm that appeals to many digital nomads. Tianjin's economy is based on the heavy and chemical industry and trade via its large harbor, and there are plenty of opportunities here. Beijing is also just 33 minutes away on the bullet train!

Remote workers can also enjoy many cultural activities in and around Tianjin, including cruises to the Great Wall of China or day trips to Baixan Mountain.

In the town itself, you can take a river cruise and enjoy the incredible skyline of the Haihe Cultural Square at night or make a splash at Tianjin Water Park, the city’s most popular eco-attraction.

- In Hebei District, you can spend a day in Tianjin’s Little Italy, where you can find Italian streets, restaurants, and cafés or watch performances and see Italian fashion.
- Tianjin is China’s capital for internet censorship as many internet providers have recently relocated here.
- Just over 120 miles outside of Tianjin lies the magical, ancient city of Chengde which was where the emperor used to retreat to his Summer Palace.
