Turkey’s fifth most populous city is nestled between the sea and the mountains. This Mediterranean paradise is a great stop for a coliving experience on any digital nomad’s journey.
An amazing attraction is a waterfall in the middle of down, which cascades into the sea. Being an ancient city, there’s plenty of architecture, museums, and ruins to explore. The seaside city offers up some amazing beaches, caves and national parks. Antalya also hosts several film festivals, music festivals, as well as an opera and ballet festival.
Getting around Antalya is pretty easy. Busses are the main mode of transport but taxis are very affordable. It’s very common for your driver to wait for you while you are sightseeing so you will have no trouble getting back home. The waiting fee is around $4 per hour.
Summers here can be quite hot. Some have even described the four seasons here as fall, winter, spring, and hell. Summers get quite hot, up in the mid-90s, while winters are wet and mild in the high 50s. With an average of 300 sunny days per year, it’s no surprise the city is a great coliving destination for digital nomads.
Local cuisine is very Mediterranean/middle eastern - locals eat plenty of tahini, nuts, and dried fruit. Like any coastal city, Antalya is a paradise for fish and seafood lovers. White grouper is a common fish found in many local dishes. A classic starter salad is Piyaz, made from tahini, walnuts, and beans. Sis kofte is a spicy local kebab worth trying.
