My boyfriend and I stayed here for a month. The location is incredibly central with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. I absolutely love the style of the place. It's rustic and charming, with the old buildings beautifully preserved. It felt like the host did a great job emphasizing these historical charms.
Thank you, very relaxing coliving to stay at.
This coliving s wonderful. And so is Daria, the mythical host. We will definitely be back, highly recommended. Thank you!
Welcoming staff and Signora Aria. The room is lovely and whatever you need, she is willing to help.
Amazing place to stay in Catania. Very central and all very clean with unique design. The host made our stay magical with a great Sicilian breakfast and amazing hospitality. We'll be back soon!
Very good location, city, port, restaurants all within walking distance. Rooms are clean and the staff is nice.
Mrs. Daria is a lovely host. Our apartment was delightful and beautifully decorated with a terrace that was filled with warm sunlight and bougainvillea, even in December!
For my birthday celebration, I chose this charming location in the heart of Catania. The owner is an architect who is gradually restoring the entire building, including the enchanting rooftop terrace. It is very central and offers a variety of experiences. I also organized my birthday party (over 20 people) on the rooftop terrace thanks to the amazing owner D'aria. It was an unforgettable weekend!
The house is ideally located in the city center with a nearby public parking. The host was very friendly and the price was reasonable. We had breakfast at a local bistro, which was also very nice! The only downside was that the mezzanine bed in our room could only be reached by a staircase-ladder, which could be dangerous for elderly guests.
I had really high hopes for my stay at this coliving because of the beautiful photos and my communication with the host leading up to the stay, which was very pleasant. When I arrived at the studio apartment, I discovered that I would be sharing the place with another person . I had misunderstood the fine print of the description on coliving.com, so I accepted that as my misunderstanding. However, there were other things that did not match the description. For instance, I was supposed to have access to a kitchenette in the studio apartment, but when I arrived, I was told that I was not allowed to use the hob or the fridge (leaving only the sink) because the hob was placed too close to the wall and would leave burns on the wooden panelling. I was also the only guest in the whole apartment, so to save on electricity I was told to use the staff kitchen. The kitchenette had no appliances, and the staff kitchen was not very clean at all. The host also warned me not to use the air conditioning too much because I would have to pay extra if I exceeded the electricity allowance. When I brought up the differences between the description of the place and reality, giving the kitchenette as an example, the host told me that I could use the hob if I insisted but I would be liable to pay if I left any burn marks, despite the fact that it was a matter of bad construction, according to her own words. All in all, I did not feel comfortable using any of the amenities that had been promised because I was repeatedly warned about using them and penalty fees. Additionally, the coworking area in the apartment was a living room exposed to the elements, with no proper seating or desks and covered in sawdust and scaffolding because, besides the studio I was in, the whole place was under construction, with construction material placed everywhere around the common areas (this might have changed since my stay in March, 2023). The host offered that I could work in the reception area, but with everything adding up, I felt like I was not getting what I had been promised and was paying for. When I raised my concerns with the host to see if I could be compensated somehow (after the coliving's stipulated 24h reporting period), the host was insulting and told me I had to leave the next day, giving me 12h to find alternative accomodation. I don't usually write negative reviews and I like to consider myself a pretty reasonable person (I guess you'll have to take my word for it); I don't want to warn people against this place, because it might have been an isolated occurance and the property description may have been changed to something more accurate by the time I'm writing this. But I have never experienced anything like this before and I always rely on reviews myself, so I wanted to share my story in case it helps anyone make a better informed decision than I was able to. I would probably not recommend this if you're looking for a good place to stay for coliving and coworking, but if you're OK with not using a kitchen and are simply looking for a place to sleep while you explore the area around Catania, this coliving could maybe be an OK alternative.
