Rooral is one of those experiences that, while you're living it, feels not only incredible but also beautifully natural—like this is how life is meant to be, how it has always been. There's a quiet simplicity, a peaceful rhythm, a sense of hope that makes everything feel effortlessly right. But when you leave, when the pace of daily life takes over, you realize just how rare and precious that experience was. And in that moment, you understand: I was truly fortunate to live that, to be there.

These last seasons have been in the pueblo of Benarrabá, and from the second you get there you are invited to a different rhythm of life and mindset. Everyone is so welcoming, the pueblo is so beautiful, the mountains surrounding you are jaw-dropping and the heart of it all: Rooral. Rooral is the reflection of this incredible place. Its infinite kindness and generosity are, I believe, what makes the Rooral experience for everyone as positive as you can see in all the reviews. (There's no exaggeration).

Benarrabá and Rooral offer a complete and attractive co-working center, cozy houses to stay in, an active and welcoming community with lots of activities to share and enjoy with them (painting classes, hiking, paddle, gym training, etc.), very few bars and restaurants, but with such lively energy and delicious food you don't need more.

I could go on for paragraphs, but better if you live it yourself. My advice: if you're considering, don't overthink. It's worth it!

Just the perfect place to disconnect and meet amazing people! Beautiful nature to hike and run, real connections with the locals and the village life. Benarrabá, with its picturesque charm and lush surroundings, is truly a hidden gem. Staying here with Rooral was like stepping into another world—one filled with cork trees, rolling hills, and what I later learned is the richest diversity of medicinal plants in Spain. The connection to nature is undeniable.

The village itself is quaint and welcoming, and Rooral has done an amazing job of integrating into the community. Each property feels thoughtfully designed—simple, cozy, and full of character. The village facilities were excellent, especially the reliable WiFi, which made it easy to balance work and relaxation.

What really made the experience special was the people. My son and I had a wonderful collaboration with the local youth, working on a VR project that brought a spark of creativity to all of us. Talking to the mayor—charming and approachable—and spending time with the abuelas and abuelos of the village gave me such a sense of connection and peace.

Benarrabá felt like a place where time slows down, where life is simpler but richer. It’s the kind of experience that stays with you, not just for the natural beauty but for the warmth of the community and the sense of belonging you feel.

I had the incredible opportunity to stay for approximately 3 weeks in the coliving community in Benarrabá, and I’m so grateful for the experience.
We immersed ourselves in pueblo life - basket-making workshops, forest bathing, and lively parties with the people from the village were just some of the highlights. The food was delicious, and everyone went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.
We also had activities outside the village, like cheese-making, hiking, and visiting art galleries. The locals were incredibly kind and welcoming, and even though I’m not fluent in Spanish, they were always patient and happy to help.
The cozy accommodation had a homey vibe, and the coworking space, with fiber-optic internet in a renovated old house, was perfect for work calls. The gym, with stunning views of the village and hills, was a great bonus!
Overall, my time in the coliving community was unforgettable. From the people to the food, activities, and accommodations, it was an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

It was truly lovely to get to know the village through Rooral's perspective. The way they interact with the village and curate a real yet cozy experience in community with people from different corners of the world makes it a new experience for most of us. The community host is always ready to help with any detail and is also eager to create beautiful moments within the community. The relationship between the village and Rooral is definitely unique, and you can feel it in the joyful welcome you receive from this picturesque village, surrounded by an astonishing natural environment. If you want to experience authentic rural Andalusian life, enjoy some silence while feeling the warmth of a charming community, this is the experience for you!

Within the hills of southern Spain lays this little whimsical village with beautiful kind people and all the magic created in the coliving. It felt like home from the first moment. I don’t think I ever had that many conversations with kind strangers within such a short time. If you’re looking for a hidden gem, a true Andalusian experience, a welcoming community, and the best coliving in the world - Rooral is your place. We’ll be back for sure 🙂

Words cannot fully capture the magic of Rooral. From the moment you arrive, you feel an instant sense of belonging. I've spent over a year visiting various colivings, and I can confidently say that this one is truly unique and special. While the coliving world often stays within a bubble, primarily accessible to the colivers themselves, Rooral breaks that mold.

Rooral has created a beautiful bridge between the colivers and the local village community. It offers a refreshing perspective on what Community really means fostering meaningful exchanges between locals and colivers. Here, you feel like you're making a positive impact while gaining so much in return. It's a reminder of the importance of slowing down, connecting with others, and enjoying the simple joys of life—like spending time with the abuelas. Time flows differently here, in the best possible way.

The peaceful silence of the surrounding nature makes for restful sleep, and the local food is absolutely fulfilling. The Characters of the village—from the local leaders to the bar owners, and the lively community members (who run fantastic gym and art classes)—add a warmth that deepens your sense of connection. The local activities—art classes, hikes, cheese-making, visits to the cork factory, night terrace dancing, skillshares—offer endless opportunities for discovery, all while forming beautiful new friendships with your fellow colivers.

A lot of this magic wouldn't be possible without someone like the supportive community leader, whose Love for the village, its people, and its surroundings inspires everyone around. The passion motivates you to embrace this way of life, which cultivates a rich, meaningful experience that reconnects you with the essence of your own purpose.

This coliving space is truly one of a kind! Nestled in the Genal Valley, Benarrabá is the perfect place to reconnect with nature, meet new friends among locals and fellow residents, and work, thanks to a state-of-the-art coworking facility with incredibly fast WiFi.

There’s also a beautiful gym with panoramic windows that overlook the valley, a pádel court where you can play with local residents, inviting local bars, and a little supermarket with everything you need. For hiking enthusiasts, there are plenty of local trails to explore.

What truly sets this place apart is the warm and dynamic atmosphere created by Juan, the founder, and Alejandra, the community manager. Every day of my month-long stay was thoroughly enjoyable. I know I’ll be back and highly recommend this experience to everyone!
