The city was completely taken over by Nazi Germany during the second world war and there are many sites still standing today, such as Auschwitz.

Krakow has offices to many of the world’s leading corporations such as Google, IBM, Shell, UBS, and more. Since there is so much work happening here, much of it remote, it is no wonder there are many options for spending your free time. There are many performing arts theatres around the area as well as symphonies. These are great options if you’re looking to embrace the new cultural experience. You won’t have to look far to find good restaurants and nightlife as the city stays open quite late. From world-class dining experiences to bars with live music on the streets. You’re in for enjoyable nights out on the town.

In 2019, Krakow saw nearly 13 million visitors and of that three million were foreigners. Since the city has a fairly dense mass transit system, it makes it easy to get around town. This includes a large public bus system and a light rail tram system that can get you wherever you’re needing to go. On the outskirts of the town is John Paul ll International Airport, with direct flights all over the world.

- The University of Krakow was founded in 1364 making it the second oldest university in central Europe
