With recently refurbished rooms and facilities for a long-term stay and with services, restaurants, and supermarkets within a 5-minute walk, we want to combine our growing eco-community with the digital nomad scene!
There is peace, animals, nature, community, and, of course, good wi-fi!
Located just 20 minutes from Lisbon, this charming town—often referred to as Portugal's "Capital of Flowers"—has roots that trace back to the Order of Santiago in the 12th century. The town greets you as you cross the 23-kilometer bridge spanning the expansive Tagus River and is easily accessible by ferry from Lisbon's city center.
This historic town, known for its horses, bulls, and "Lezírias" (a unique Portuguese term of Arabic origin meaning "vast flatlands flooded by the river"), has long been a crucial port, facilitating trade and connecting the southern regions to the capital. Over the centuries, commerce in meat, fish, and cork has fueled its growth and development.
This town is the closest place to Lisbon, where you can experience the distinct tranquility and leisurely pace influenced by our Arab heritage. It offers a unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty, making it a peaceful retreat just a short distance from the bustling capital.
