1. How the Program Works

As a Coliving.com affiliate, you earn a commission every time someone books through your unique referral link. The process is straightforward:

You share your affiliate link with your audience or prospects
They click your link and browse Coliving.com
When they sign up and complete a booking, it gets credited to your account
You earn a percentage of Coliving.com's commission from that booking
We pay you monthly once you have reached the payout threshold

2. Your Affiliate Link

Once your account is approved, you will receive a unique affiliate link in this format: coliving.com/i/your-affiliate-name

This link is how we identify that a booking came from you. It is essential that every prospect uses this link before they visit or sign up on Coliving.com.

Best practices for sharing your link:

Share it at the very start of any conversation with a prospect — before they visit the site independently
Use it consistently across all your channels (email, website, social media, messaging apps)
Do not modify the link format — use it exactly as provided

**Note:**If a prospect already has an existingColiving.comaccount, or if they visit the site directly without clicking your link first, the booking will not be attributed to your account. The link must be clicked before they sign up.

3. How Tracking Works

When someone clicks your affiliate link, a tracking cookie is stored on their browser for 30 days. This means:

Even if they don't book right away, you will still receive credit as long as they complete the booking within 30 days of clicking your link
Attribution is captured at the moment they click your link — not when they sign up or complete a booking

**Note:**Example: A prospect clicks your link on June 1st, signs up on June 10th, and completes a booking on June 20th. Since all activity occurred within 30 days of the original click, the booking is fully credited to your account.

4. The Referral Journey — Step by Step

**Step 1 —**Link clicked

Your prospect clicks your /i/ link. Attribution is captured immediately and the 30-day cookie is set.

**Step 2 —**Prospect signs up

When they create an account, it is recorded as a Registration on your dashboard. You will also receive an email notification: "[Guest name] just signed up!"

**Step 3 —**Prospect books

Once they submit a booking, your dashboard Pending count may increase depending on the booking status.

**Step 4 —**Guest checks out

When the stay is completed and the guest moves out, the booking moves to Completed on your dashboard.

**Step 5 —**Commission credited

Your commission is credited to your affiliate wallet and your Earned balance updates accordingly.

**Step 6 —**Payout

Once your balance reaches the $100 minimum, we process a bank transfer to your registered account on a monthly basis.

5. Your Affiliate Dashboard

Please note:

Registrations update as soon as someone signs up — this is the earliest confirmation that your link was used successfully
Pending and Completed only update as bookings progress through their lifecycle
The dashboard displays aggregate totals rather than a per-referral list of individual names

6. Email Notifications

You will receive email updates at key points in the referral journey:

Signup — "[Guest name] just signed up through your link!"
Booking confirmed — notified when the guest's booking is accepted and paid
Stay completed — notified after checkout once commission is calculated
Monthly commission summary — recurring payout notification
Milestones — notifications when you reach volume milestones (e.g. first signup, fifth signup)

**Note:**If you are not receiving signup notifications, the most likely reason is that the prospect did not use your affiliate link before creating their account.

7. Commission & Payouts

You earn 50% of the commission Coliving.com receives from any booking attributed to your link. Coliving.com's commission rate varies depending on the booking duration and the host's agreement. Below are general examples for reference:

**Note:These are illustrative examples only. Actual commission amounts depend on the booking value and the host's specific commission agreement withColiving.com. Some hosts pay a fixed fee per confirmed booking rather than a percentage of the booking value.

Payout details:

Paid monthly, directly to your bank account
Minimum balance of $100 required before a payout is processed
If a booking is cancelled, the commission for that booking will be recalculated and adjusted from your wallet balance

8. Managing a Team of Referrers

If multiple agents or counselors are referring prospects on your behalf, please note the following:

Each affiliate account comes with one dashboard and one affiliate link. There are no individual agent logins or per-agent tracking views within a single account.

Option 1 — Shared link

All agents use the same /i/ link. Commissions roll up to one account. Internal tracking (e.g. noting which agent assisted which prospect) is managed on your side.

Option 2 — Separate accounts per agent

Each agent registers as an individual affiliate and receives their own /i/ link and dashboard, providing full visibility at the agent level.

9. Frequently Asked Questions

My referral isn't showing on my dashboard — what should I do?

First, confirm whether the prospect used your /i/ link before signing up. If they did not, attribution cannot be applied retroactively. If they did use your link, note that Pending and Completed metrics only update as the booking progresses — Registrations appear at the point of signup. If something still appears incorrect, please contact us with the guest's name and email address and we will look into it promptly.

I didn't receive a signup notification email.

This typically indicates that the prospect visited the site or created an account without clicking your affiliate link first. We recommend sharing your link at the very beginning of every prospect interaction to ensure attribution is captured correctly.

Can I see the names of guests who signed up through my link?

The dashboard displays aggregate statistics. However, signup notification emails will include the guest's name at the point of registration.

What happens if a guest cancels their booking?

If a booking is cancelled, the commission tied to that booking will be reversed and adjusted from your wallet balance.

Is there a contract I need to sign?

No contract is required. By creating an affiliate account, you agree to our Affiliate Terms available at coliving.com/terms/affiliates. You may discontinue your participation in the program at any time.

Can I run paid advertising to promote my affiliate link?

We recommend against any PPC activity, both branded and non-branded. Coliving.com does not pay commissions on traffic driven through paid search campaigns.

10. Program Terms & Guidelines

By participating in the Coliving.com Affiliate Program, you agree to the following:

Do not alter or modify your affiliate link or any marketing materials provided by Coliving.com
Do not promote Coliving.com on websites with adult content, illegal activities, or content that incites discrimination or hatred
Do not make false or misleading claims about discounts or offers on behalf of Coliving.com
You are solely responsible for your own taxes and obligations — affiliates are not employees or agents of Coliving.com
Breaches of program terms may result in commission reversal or account deactivation
