Over Lifex
Dit gezegd hebbende, willen we de drie grootste uitdagingen voor nieuwkomers in Kopenhagen oplossen;
Huisvesting vinden- Zoals ik al zei, heeft Kopenhagen op dit moment een betaalbare huizencrisis en is het extreem moeilijk om door te breken op de huizenmarkt. Zelfs als je erin slaagt om een woning te vinden, is deze extreem duur en wordt er vaak gevraagd om 3 maanden huur vooraf en een borg van 3 maanden daar bovenop. Wij lossen dat op door een volledig flexibele toegang van maand tot maand aan te bieden. Mensen moeten minimaal een maand blijven en kunnen zo lang blijven als ze willen. We beperken het aantal korte termijn verhuurders omdat het niet ideaal is voor de gemeenschap - we willen niet dat mensen komen en gaan en de al gevestigde gemeenschap verstoren.
Gemeenschap- Verhuizen naar een nieuw land is eenzaam, je pakt je netwerk op en laat het achter. Veel van onze leden zijn nog nooit in Kopenhagen geweest en beginnen dus helemaal opnieuw. Met LifeX komen ze aan met een netwerk en een reeds gevestigde gemeenschap van mensen die zich in een vergelijkbare situatie bevinden. We organiseren zondagse diners, Game of Thrones-avonden, spelletjesavonden en fietstochten door de stad. We willen geen interactie met onze leden afdwingen, dus niets is verplicht, maar we organiseren deze evenementen wel als een routine contactmoment tussen leden. Tot nu toe is het geweldig! Vooral de zondagse diners die we in een potluck-stijl doen - iedereen die komt moet iets meebrengen.
Diensten- We proberen de stress van het verhuizen zoveel mogelijk te verminderen, zodat mensen zich kunnen richten op hun nieuwe baan en het ontdekken van het geweldige Kopenhagen. We bieden een Quick Start-pakket waarmee je al je registraties en practica kunt regelen en je visum/werkvergunning kunt aanvragen. We proberen echt een volledige end-to-end service te bieden zodat mensen op de best mogelijke manier in Kopenhagen kunnen landen en een geweldige eerste ervaring hebben.
Onze leden
We hebben momenteel 15 leden, verspreid over 2 appartementen in het centrum van Kopenhagen. Ons derde appartement is onderweg en als dat gevuld is, zullen we 25 leden hebben. Onze leden zijn tot nu toe vooral techneuten en mensen van over de hele wereld. We hebben mensen uit de VS, Brazilië, Roemenië, Groot-Brittannië, Servië, Zweden, Denemarken en nog veel meer. We hebben ook een goede mix van mensen in termen van hoe ze LifeX gebruiken; sommigen hebben ons gebruikt als een landingsplatform waar ze vervolgens vanaf springen om hun eigen plek te vinden en anderen hebben zich bij ons aangesloten omdat ze van het idee van samenwonen houden en voor de lange termijn bij ons willen zijn. We hebben zelfs iemand gehad die zei dat hij alleen bij ons zou blijven totdat hij zijn eigen appartement had gevonden, omdat zijn vrouw binnenkort bij hem in Kopenhagen zou komen wonen en hij het zo leuk vond dat ze nu allebei bij ons wonen.

I lived with them on my first year in Copenhagen, and they provide a very useful service for coliving apartments, making it feel like you are renting your own apartment. The staff behind it is super professional, and they are there for you.
Stayed with coliving over summer 2023. We had a great experience; the team was always handy when we needed (via the app) and made our move to Copenhagen much, much simpler.
I have been overall happy with my accommodation at coliving in Copenhagen. It was very convenient to arrange; there were no problems during my stay, and coliving has been communicating promptly when needed.

A world-class team at coliving facilitates some of the most comfortable living you can find in big European cities. I have been living in one of their serviced apartments for over 18 months, and the community that the startup has created has led to lifelong friends, couples who are getting married that met through coliving, and a lot of fun with people from all over the world. Besides the insanely comfortable apartments, some of my favorite memories in Copenhagen are with people I've met at or who are a part of coliving. If I were relocating anywhere in the world where there was a coliving, I would do it, as the best landing in a new country and a great way to meet people. The team behind the company has developed a concept that is so much more than just a home, but a really awesome community.
An excellent solution challenging the rental market. It offers more than just a place to stay or a roof over your head - you have your new family and support in all of the questions that may pop into your head. Worth spending an extra dime on it in comparison to alternatives.

Coliving makes life much easier by giving you not only a cozy apartment to stay in but the chance to be part of a wide community where you can engage with others who are in the same situation.
Great solution for newcomers in big cities in Europe, less bureaucracy as possible/easy check-in (lots of info in the app and support from the team)/social activities to meet new people. Worth the price from my experience in Copenhagen.
Clean, well managed. A very comfortable, welcoming place to stay when first moving to Copenhagen, especially for a job since rent is not cheap for a single room—but substantially less than paying the deposit on your own place. It is easy to move in, the contract is simple and transparent compared to private apartments in town, and everything is furnished (all rather high quality too).
There is a great community of people here, who can help you find your place in the city. Some have been staying here several years, while others are just arriving (and you can trade notes on challenges like registration, phone cards, bank accounts, etc.). Occasionally social events are put together. Overall, staying here helped me focus on being successful at my new job and getting established in a new place, and I really enjoyed all the great tips from housemates about destinations to bike to and get coffee!
