Con questo intendiamo risolvere le tre principali sfide che i nuovi arrivati a Copenaghen si trovano ad affrontare;
Trovare un alloggio - Come ho detto, a Copenaghen c'è una crisi di alloggi a prezzi accessibili ed è estremamente difficile entrare nel mercato immobiliare. Anche se si riesce a trovare un alloggio, questo è estremamente costoso ed è comune che vengano richiesti 3 mesi di affitto in anticipo e un deposito di 3 mesi. Noi risolviamo questo problema offrendo un accesso mensile completamente flessibile. Le persone devono soggiornare per un minimo di un mese e possono rimanere per tutto il tempo che desiderano. Limitiamo il numero di affitti a breve termine perché non è l'ideale per la comunità: non vogliamo che le persone vadano e vengano disturbando la comunità già consolidata.
Comunità - Trasferirsi in un nuovo Paese significa sentirsi soli, prendere e lasciare la propria rete di contatti. Molti dei nostri membri non sono mai stati a Copenaghen prima d'ora, quindi partono da zero. Con LifeX arrivano con una rete e una comunità già consolidata di persone che si trovano in una situazione simile. Organizziamo cene domenicali, serate di Game of Thrones, serate di gioco e giri in bicicletta per la città. Non vogliamo forzare l'interazione con i nostri membri, quindi nulla è obbligatorio, ma organizziamo questi eventi come punto di contatto abituale tra i membri. Finora è stato fantastico! Soprattutto le cene domenicali, che organizziamo in stile "potluck": tutti i partecipanti devono portare qualcosa.
Servizi - Il nostro obiettivo è ridurre il più possibile lo stress del trasloco, in modo che le persone possano concentrarsi sul loro nuovo lavoro e sull'esplorazione della fantastica Copenaghen. Offriamo un pacchetto di avvio rapido che vi permetterà di effettuare tutte le registrazioni, le pratiche e l'elaborazione del visto/permesso di lavoro. Cerchiamo di fornire un servizio completo per consentire alle persone di arrivare a Copenaghen nel miglior modo possibile e di avere una prima esperienza fantastica.
I nostri membri
Attualmente abbiamo 15 membri, distribuiti in 2 appartamenti nel centro di Copenaghen. Il nostro terzo appartamento è in arrivo e con quello riempito avremo 25 membri. Finora i nostri membri sono stati perlopiù di estrazione tecnologica e provenienti da tutto il mondo. Abbiamo persone provenienti da Stati Uniti, Brasile, Romania, Regno Unito, Serbia, Svezia, Danimarca e altri paesi. Abbiamo anche un buon mix di persone in termini di utilizzo di LifeX; alcuni ci hanno usato come piattaforma di atterraggio da cui poi sono saltati per trovare la propria casa e altri si sono uniti a noi perché amano l'idea del co-living e vogliono stare con noi a lungo termine. C'è stato qualcuno che ci ha detto che sarebbe rimasto con noi solo fino a quando non avesse trovato un appartamento proprio, perché sua moglie lo avrebbe raggiunto presto a Copenaghen e gli era piaciuto così tanto che ora vivono entrambi con noi.

I lived with them on my first year in Copenhagen, and they provide a very useful service for coliving apartments, making it feel like you are renting your own apartment. The staff behind it is super professional, and they are there for you.
Stayed with coliving over summer 2023. We had a great experience; the team was always handy when we needed (via the app) and made our move to Copenhagen much, much simpler.
I have been overall happy with my accommodation at coliving in Copenhagen. It was very convenient to arrange; there were no problems during my stay, and coliving has been communicating promptly when needed.
Nice concept for everyone that stays somewhere short term or looks for a temporary stay.
All you need to move in are your private things - couldn’t be easier.

A world-class team at coliving facilitates some of the most comfortable living you can find in big European cities. I have been living in one of their serviced apartments for over 18 months, and the community that the startup has created has led to lifelong friends, couples who are getting married that met through coliving, and a lot of fun with people from all over the world. Besides the insanely comfortable apartments, some of my favorite memories in Copenhagen are with people I've met at or who are a part of coliving. If I were relocating anywhere in the world where there was a coliving, I would do it, as the best landing in a new country and a great way to meet people. The team behind the company has developed a concept that is so much more than just a home, but a really awesome community.
An excellent solution challenging the rental market. It offers more than just a place to stay or a roof over your head - you have your new family and support in all of the questions that may pop into your head. Worth spending an extra dime on it in comparison to alternatives.
One of the best ways of starting an adventure abroad, removing all the headache produced by the relocation change.
Coliving makes life much easier by giving you not only a cozy apartment to stay in but the chance to be part of a wide community where you can engage with others who are in the same situation.
Great solution for newcomers in big cities in Europe, less bureaucracy as possible/easy check-in (lots of info in the app and support from the team)/social activities to meet new people. Worth the price from my experience in Copenhagen.
Clean, well managed. A very comfortable, welcoming place to stay when first moving to Copenhagen, especially for a job since rent is not cheap for a single room—but substantially less than paying the deposit on your own place. It is easy to move in, the contract is simple and transparent compared to private apartments in town, and everything is furnished (all rather high quality too).
There is a great community of people here, who can help you find your place in the city. Some have been staying here several years, while others are just arriving (and you can trade notes on challenges like registration, phone cards, bank accounts, etc.). Occasionally social events are put together. Overall, staying here helped me focus on being successful at my new job and getting established in a new place, and I really enjoyed all the great tips from housemates about destinations to bike to and get coffee!
