Cela dit, notre objectif est de résoudre les trois plus grands défis auxquels sont confrontés les nouveaux arrivants à Copenhague ;
Trouver un logement - Comme je l'ai dit, Copenhague connaît actuellement une crise du logement abordable et il est extrêmement difficile de percer sur le marché du logement ici. Même si l'on parvient à trouver un logement, il est extrêmement cher et il est courant de se voir demander trois mois de loyer d'avance ainsi qu'une caution de trois mois. Nous remédions à cette situation en proposant un accès au mois complètement flexible. Les personnes doivent rester au minimum un mois et peuvent rester aussi longtemps qu'elles le souhaitent. Nous limitons le nombre de locations à court terme parce que ce n'est pas idéal pour la communauté - nous ne voulons pas que les gens aillent et viennent et perturbent la communauté déjà établie.
Communauté - S'installer dans un nouveau pays, c'est se sentir seul. Beaucoup de nos membres n'ont jamais été à Copenhague auparavant et partent donc de zéro. Avec LifeX, ils arrivent avec un réseau et une communauté déjà établie de personnes qui sont dans une situation similaire. Nous organisons des dîners le dimanche, des soirées Game of Thrones, des soirées jeux et des promenades à vélo dans la ville. Nous ne voulons pas forcer l'interaction avec nos membres, donc rien n'est obligatoire, mais nous organisons ces événements comme un point de contact habituel entre les membres. Jusqu'à présent, tout s'est bien passé ! En particulier les dîners du dimanche, que nous organisons selon le principe du "potluck" - chaque participant doit apporter quelque chose.
Services - Nous visons à réduire le stress du déménagement autant que possible afin que les gens puissent se concentrer sur leur nouveau travail et sur la découverte de la merveilleuse Copenhague. Nous proposons une formule de démarrage rapide qui vous permet d'effectuer toutes vos démarches d'inscription, de pratique et d'obtention d'un visa ou d'un permis de travail. Nous essayons vraiment de fournir un service complet de bout en bout pour que les gens puissent atterrir à Copenhague de la meilleure façon possible et avoir une première expérience formidable.
Nos membres
Nous comptons actuellement 15 membres, répartis dans deux appartements au centre de Copenhague. Notre troisième appartement est en cours de construction et une fois qu'il sera rempli, nous aurons 25 membres. Jusqu'à présent, nos membres viennent principalement de la technologie et du monde entier. Nous avons des gens des États-Unis, du Brésil, de Roumanie, du Royaume-Uni, de Serbie, de Suède, du Danemark et d'autres encore. Nous avons également un bon mélange de personnes en termes d'utilisation de LifeX ; certains nous ont utilisé comme une plate-forme d'atterrissage qu'ils ont ensuite quittée pour trouver leur propre logement et d'autres nous ont rejoints parce qu'ils aiment l'idée de la co-habitation et veulent être avec nous à long terme. Il est arrivé que quelqu'un nous dise qu'il ne resterait avec nous que jusqu'à ce qu'il trouve son propre appartement, parce que sa femme le rejoignait bientôt à Copenhague et qu'il l'aimait tellement qu'ils vivent maintenant tous les deux avec nous.

I lived with them on my first year in Copenhagen, and they provide a very useful service for coliving apartments, making it feel like you are renting your own apartment. The staff behind it is super professional, and they are there for you.

A world-class team at coliving facilitates some of the most comfortable living you can find in big European cities. I have been living in one of their serviced apartments for over 18 months, and the community that the startup has created has led to lifelong friends, couples who are getting married that met through coliving, and a lot of fun with people from all over the world. Besides the insanely comfortable apartments, some of my favorite memories in Copenhagen are with people I've met at or who are a part of coliving. If I were relocating anywhere in the world where there was a coliving, I would do it, as the best landing in a new country and a great way to meet people. The team behind the company has developed a concept that is so much more than just a home, but a really awesome community.
An excellent solution challenging the rental market. It offers more than just a place to stay or a roof over your head - you have your new family and support in all of the questions that may pop into your head. Worth spending an extra dime on it in comparison to alternatives.
One of the best ways of starting an adventure abroad, removing all the headache produced by the relocation change.
Coliving makes life much easier by giving you not only a cozy apartment to stay in but the chance to be part of a wide community where you can engage with others who are in the same situation.
Great solution for newcomers in big cities in Europe, less bureaucracy as possible/easy check-in (lots of info in the app and support from the team)/social activities to meet new people. Worth the price from my experience in Copenhagen.
Clean, well managed. A very comfortable, welcoming place to stay when first moving to Copenhagen, especially for a job since rent is not cheap for a single room—but substantially less than paying the deposit on your own place. It is easy to move in, the contract is simple and transparent compared to private apartments in town, and everything is furnished (all rather high quality too).
There is a great community of people here, who can help you find your place in the city. Some have been staying here several years, while others are just arriving (and you can trade notes on challenges like registration, phone cards, bank accounts, etc.). Occasionally social events are put together. Overall, staying here helped me focus on being successful at my new job and getting established in a new place, and I really enjoyed all the great tips from housemates about destinations to bike to and get coffee!
