Do princípio ao fim, a maior parte das empresas de aluguer de casas tinham falhas. A única coisa que as diferenciava eram as suas falhas, quer numa parte específica do processo de aluguer, quer ao longo de todo o processo. Foi por isso que decidiram unir forças e pôr fim a esta situação de uma vez por todas.
Redesenharam toda a experiência para que fosse a forma como imaginavam que deveria ser o aluguer numa grande cidade metropolitana como Los Angeles. Compreendem que o aluguer nem sempre é acessível em locais muito procurados em Los Angeles. Por isso, ajudam a torná-lo acessível para a maioria dos jovens profissionais e estudantes, criando a experiência de companheiros de quarto.
