Community

Experience a unique stay. Nestled in the Lac-à-la-Tortue sector of Shawinigan, Mauricie, this charming property is rich in history. If its walls could talk, they would surely have countless stories to tell!

Built in 1929, this historic home once housed an airport employee. As the birthplace of Canadian commercial aviation, Lac-à-la-Tortue is home to an airport located right next to this remarkable brick house, which is officially recognized for its authenticity in the Quebec Cultural Heritage Directory.

The exceptional heritage value of this house lies in its history, age, architectural style, and outstanding state of preservation. The residence exemplifies the American vernacular house style, featuring a gabled dormer—a design that became widespread in Quebec from the late 19th century to the early 20th century."

While it has been carefully renovated over time, this nearly century-old home has retained its historic character. With its unique charm and rich heritage, this property is sure to captivate those seeking a meaningful and exciting new chapter in their lives!
