Making this city a great place for coliving digital nomads coming from the United States especially. The city rests on the northern coastline of the island and is home to nearly 500,000 residents. This is a great option if you’re looking for a new experience as it has a mix of Spanish and American roots. The city is perfect for adventure seekers as well because just outside the city you’ll find lush jungles and beaches. From incredible hiking and motorsports to surfing and scuba diving.

The city has a great diversity of culture and cuisine, with many of the buildings, especially in the old city based on Spanish architecture. You can find everything you would expect to find in a modern city except for new highrise buildings, from your quiet street-corner cafes and diners, all the way to your world-class five-star restaurants and dining experiences. The island sits in a great location in the Caribbean Sea, which ensures the excellent climate year-round. The only downfall to San Juan is it sits right in the hurricane path, so come hurricane season the rains and winds will pick up.

San Juan has by far the highest density of vehicles on the road of any country in the world, making cars the most popular choice for transport by a long shot. This is alright though, as the city offers great bus services as well as a metro service that spans for over 10 miles. San Juan International Airport is only a short distance away from the city and can be easily accessed by taking public transportation. The airport here has flights that will take you all over North American and as far away as Europe.
