Set in a beautifully restored historic sanatorium across a sprawling 15,000m² campus, digital nomads will find their ideal workspace at Hub Feenix’s dedicated co-working area in their wing. The space provides 24/7 access to a fully equipped work environment with fast WiFi (200 Mbps). Beyond the primary co-working space, nomads can tap into additional coworking spaces and nooks throughout the building, shared with the wider community. The space offers multiple work zones, including in-room desks, a breakout meeting room, and private offices available at an additional cost. The on-site makerspace provides further creative opportunities with tools for traditional crafts (metalwork, woodwork, ceramics), 3D printing, and electronics. It’s perfect for professionals seeking inspiration and innovation.

Hub Feenix features a dedicated living wing for digital nomads, with private rooms on the second floor, fresh linens and essential amenities. Guests share clean, gender-separated bathrooms with two showers each. The fully equipped shared kitchen supports vegetarian cooking and reflects the property’s sustainability values. About Meltola

We are surrounded by nature, which is perfect for walks through the woods, swimming in the nearby lake, and, during winter, ice skating and cross-country skiing. Depending on the season, you can forage for berries in summer and mushrooms from summer to mid-autumn.

The nearest town is Karjaa (Karis), just 10 minutes away, where you can find shops, cafés, restaurants, banks, and more. In Finland, flea markets are important and very common; our favorites are Kaippari Loppis Kirppis, Sineaaria, and Karjaan Antikvariaatti. Pumpviksholmen is a lovely little park to visit if the weather is nice. Green Mama’s is a fantastic fully vegan restaurant for lunch or a coffee break, and they even organize events in the evenings sometimes.

Your bedroom is fully private for you. The rest of the spaces in the Digital Nomad Wing will be shared with the other nomads. This includes the kitchen, bathrooms (separated by gender), coworking space, living room and the lounge area. The rest of the campus has living and communal shared spaces with the larger community (residents, artists and volunteers).

The room you will be assigned might differ slightly from the photos but will match the room type. You are booking a room/bed by type, not a specific unit.

You don´t need to tour the property, and here is why:

Yes, there a desk/chair in every bedroom, a designated coworking space in the Nomad wing, and several coworking spaces/nooks around the campus that are shared with the full community.

The designated Digital Nomad Wing will be for other nomads (a maximum of 9) and the rest of the community (artists, residents and volunteers) live in separate wings in other parts of the main building.

Once you’ve been accepted and confirmed your ideal moving-in date, the host will be there to welcome you to your new home. They will help you settle in your room, show you around the space, and introduce you to the other community members. Once we’ve answered your questions, you will be given time to get settled and make yourself at home.

If the accommodation is not suitable, please contact the staff on arrival and they will do their best to find a mutually agreeable solution.

We want to ensure a smooth check-out process for you. Your security deposit will be returned in cash after a walk-through with our Digital Nomad Manager. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

You are welcome to invite guests over during the day, as long as you are accompanying them. For overnight stays, please let us know if advance as there would be a small contribution for staying 1-2 nights and an additional charge if a separate private room is required.

The consumption of alcohol is permitted on the property, but we kindly ask that it be in moderation and with respect for other guests.

Besides rent, there may be extra fees for utilities like heating and electricity, depending on usage. If you are interested in any of the additional services for working (private office) or access to the creative spaces (artist studio, woodworking, 3D printing), there are associated costs there too. It's always good to check what is included in your stay.

Our common areas are fully furnished to welcome you right away, and each bedroom comes equipped with all the essentials for comfortable living include a bed, desk/chair, a seating chair and 1-2 built-in closets.

Meals and snacks aren’t included, but you'll have full access to a well-equipped kitchen for preparing your favorite dishes at any time. Plus, with grocery stores in town, everything you need is within reach.

We encourage our residents to keep their private bedrooms tidy, and we provide cleaning products to help with that. And we will handle the cleaning of the common areas to ensure everything stays fresh and welcoming!

Absolutely! We love hosting wellbeing groups and retreats from Helsinki and southern Finland. Our spaces on the ground and 5th floor are perfect for gatherings, and guests can enjoy separate quarters for a comfortable weekend stay.
