Our big, cozy house is located in the valley of Santo Isidoro, right next to Ribeira d'Ilhas, a world-famous surf spot. The moment you enter our house, you can feel the special vibe and enjoy the spectacular views. The house has five rooms, all of which have a private bathroom and access to the common areas and facilities. Our rooms have just the right amount of classic luxury and a cozy, warm feel. Large windows bring natural light into every room, most of them with beautiful views of the Ribeira Valley. All rooms have a private bathroom, Wi-Fi, heating, and a table to get some work done.

The living room offers a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and a big fridge. A tea and coffee corner with a good filter machine and grinder to make your freshly ground coffee. A big table in front of the fireplace to enjoy a good meal with your fellow housemates. A reading corner with lots of books and games and a big lounge sofa overlooking the Ribeira Valley and garden.

Attached to the house you will find our coworking, with 7 communal desks, good office chairs or stools, and a separate phone booth for your private call or meeting. Find a seat at our communal table and join our family. Need a break, some fresh air, or some inspiration? We have a beautiful garden looking out over the Ribeira Valley. A space to do yoga, meditation, or your workout. Or get some waves in between meetings.

The garden has a veranda with inspiring valley views. Another grape-covered veranda with a barbecue and a huge Portuguese table. A pool with sunbeds and some cozy areas to chill. You can rinse off your salty and sandy feet in our outside shower and store your surf gear in the shed. And did we mention that it is only a 10-minute walk to Ribeira Beach and the world-famous surf spot?

We work with local partners to make our property a place to connect, explore, and learn. Think about gardening, pottery, yoga, climbing, mountain biking, and apnea training. But also enjoy our community meals, where we support our love for seasonal and local food.

At our place, we like to think about the environment and believe that we can make a difference together. The house has been completely renovated since 2021 and has a much better energy level now. We have solar panels, use a heat pump, have a charging station for your electric car, use eco-friendly cleaning and skin-care products, and much more.

Location

Estrada Ribeira de Ilhas (Ribeira Valley - Ericeira), Ericeira
The exact location is provided after the booking is confirmed.

Ribeira Valley - Ericeira

Our house is located in Santo Isidoro, a quiet small village, only a 5-minute drive from Ericeira. Ericeira is THE surfing capital of Europe. A popular retreat for locals, tourists, and surfers from around the world, owing to the forty beaches with good conditions. One of the seven surf spots mentioned in the World Surfing Reserve is Ribeira d’Ilhas, only a 10-minute walk from our house.

Besides surfing, Ericeira has such a lovely vibe with her mixture of locals, expats, and travelers. You can enjoy the Ericeira vibes, for example, at one of the terraces at Praça da República. This laid-back fishing village can satisfy a variety of cravings. From traditional to modern Portuguese food. From a good pizza to a healthy vegetarian or vegan meal. From the best top-quality wines to the best coffees. Also, we have some fun places to enjoy a good cocktail, live music, and dancing.

Many creatives, nature lovers, and digital nomads were stranded in Ericeira. As a result, many inspirational activities and ideas have arisen. There is always something to do, discover, or learn here! All this, amongst the beautiful green valleys and steep cliffs. And there are so many amazing and authentic places to explore.

Besides Ericeira, there is a lot to see and explore around. Lisbon is only 40 minutes away by car. At the same time, you will reach one of the most beautiful vineyards, a place to experience authentic Portugal. Or the medieval town of Obidos, which is one of Portugal's most beautiful and best-kept fortified towns. And so much more to explore!

      - Properties on Coliving.com have pictures and a clear description of the community, rooms, and common areas. Most of them also have 3D or video tours.

From Lisbon airport, it will take you around 40 minutes to take the highway. Be aware that this is a toll road, and they don't always take foreign cards; some coins or cash is very recommendable. When renting a car, you can also choose the option with an automatic road toll system called Via Verde. With this little reader, you can just pass straight through the road tolls and pay them later.

      2. With our neighboring Uber driver, Pasi
Very trustworthy, always on time, and will wait for you at the gate with a sign with your name and our logo.

      3. By Uber
You can order an Uber, which will cost you between €40 and €60, depending on the hour. Please be aware that they sometimes cancel your drive because they found a better deal.

      4. By public transport
You first need to go to the bus station in Campo Grande, which takes around 12 minutes. You can take a bus (€3), shuttle, or Uber. From there, you can take the bus to Ericeira. You can check at the bus station or at www.carrismetropolitana.pt for schedules. Be aware that you are taking a bus that takes the highway! These 'fast' buses take you to Ericeira in around an hour, but they only drive 1 (sometimes 2) times an hour. The'slow' buses can take up to 2+ hours. You can pay on the bus, and the price will be around €7 one way. From Ericeira bus station, we unfortunately don't have a regular schedule; it is not even going every hour. So we suggest taking an Uber; it will be around €4 one way.
