We are a house of people who work. Cross-border commuters into Geneva, young professionals, researchers, and expats who have just landed in the region. Most residents are between 25 and 40, stay a year or more, and want a home that is calm on a Tuesday evening and lively on a Saturday.

The reasoning is simple. Renting a studio alone in this corner of the border is expensive and quietly isolating. Here it costs less, and you come home to people who already know how the local tax forms work, which ski pass is worth it, and where to find a doctor who takes new patients.

We keep the house sociable without forcing it. A shared dinner every few weeks, film nights, the sauna and the pool in summer, yoga and fitness sessions, and trips to the mountains or the lake that residents organise between themselves. Nobody has to sign up for anything.

What we ask in return is straightforward: look after the shared spaces, say when something breaks, and say hello. This is not a party house and it is not a hotel. It is a home where people who are new to the region land softly, and often end up friends.

Yes. You have your own private bedroom with a door that locks, and you are the only person with a key to it. The kitchen, living room, workspace, garden and wellness areas are shared, and quiet hours from 10 PM keep evenings calm. Several rooms also have their own en-suite bathroom.

Case by case. We have no blanket rule: tell us what animal you have and we check with the current residents first, mainly for allergies. Small, quiet pets are usually fine.

The rooms are single occupancy, so a room cannot be shared. Couples and friends are welcome to take two rooms in the same house though — it happens regularly, and you still share all the common areas.

Yes, twice over. There is a dedicated workspace in the house with fibre WiFi, and every bedroom has a proper desk and desk chair, so you can also work from your room. Download speed is around 800 Mbit.

Yes. You sign a standard French furnished-accommodation lease of 12 months, which you can end at any time with one month's written notice. You also sign the house rules and an inventory at check-in. Everything is done electronically before you arrive.

We don’t accept co-signers. We understand this can be a concern — our team is happy to discuss alternatives such as a larger security deposit, a shorter initial lease, or additional references. Tell us a bit about your situation and we’ll do our best to find a solution.

No. Credit scores are not used in France. What we look at is proof of stable income, or a guarantor.

The security deposit is typically returned shortly after your stay ends. We will review your room for any excessive damage that would impact your security deposit return. Normal wear and tear are expected.

A great deal, for a house this close to a city. The Saleve is 20 minutes away for hiking and paragliding, the beaches of Lake Geneva around 25 minutes, and the ski resorts of the Chablais and the Mont-Blanc valley — Morzine, Les Gets, Flaine, Chamonix — between one hour and an hour and a half by car. Geneva itself gives you the lake, the Old Town, the museums and the nightlife, one train ride into another country.
