About Samesame Coliving
samesame was brought into being by our urge to build a place based on creativity and community and that could provide a different way of living. In addition to establishing a place where people could rest, create and belong/linger, we wanted to have our personal values reflected in the entire project – sustainability, community, respect, diversity, sharing, local and circular economy, art and culture – in the hopes of becoming a viable solution to some of the biggest challenges we face today.

I stayed at a coliving for four weeks, and it was my first true coliving experience.
I arrived without clear expectations and left with a new family, countless stories, and a positive change from the experience. Is it perfect? No, but neither is any family. What matters is that the staff listens to feedback and works to improve and fix issues.
Special mention to the volunteers: they created an incredible vibe and helped build the community day after day. If you’re looking for more than just a place to stay, this coliving can truly leave a mark on you.
Practical notes: The location is right in the city center, super convenient, and everything is close. The trade-off is that central Lisbon can be crowded and more expensive than other areas. I stayed at Beco: beautiful common spaces, and rooms are simple/essential but still have everything you need to feel comfortable and at home. There’s no in-house laundry, but there’s a shared laundromat very close by.
I will definitely return :)
When I first moved to Lisbon, I needed a place to stay while I was apartment hunting with my dog. I was so lucky that I found this coliving! They welcomed me and my dog Roo with open arms. The accommodations are beautiful (I stayed in the single apartment and the studio), the staff is fantastic, and the location was right in the heart of the city. Beyond that, the community they have built is more like a family. I live here in Lisbon full-time now and still try to join the community dinners whenever I can. This coliving is more than a place to stay; it is a place to make long-lasting friendships and build a home here in Lisbon. Highly recommend!
I’ve lived at this coliving for long periods and was also there again recently, in September of this year.
For me, this coliving has always been a special place: I’ve made friendships that I’ll carry for life, joined incredible activities, and found an energy that’s hard to describe unless you’ve experienced coliving in its true form. The location is perfect, the common areas have always been great for both working and socializing, and the overall atmosphere among guests is usually light, diverse, and welcoming.
Like any space with a high turnover of people, unexpected things can happen, but in my experience — including during my most recent stay — the team was always available to help and resolve whatever was needed. I also met many happy guests who returned multiple times, just like I did.
I think it’s important for anyone researching the space to also look at the more complete reviews, written by real people, with photos, stories, and experiences from those who actually spent a good amount of time living at this coliving. Those reviews show much more of the true essence of the place and what it offers day to day.
For anyone seeking connection, good energy, and an amazing location in Lisbon, this coliving remains one of my favorite places — and genuinely feels like my second home. :)
I had an amazing experience at my coliving in July. It was my first coliving experience and I felt connected with the community the same day I arrived. The coliving is very well decorated as the owners are architects. I had a desk in my room but I also made use of the co-working sometimes. The staff were super friendly and easygoing. I had an issue with the WiFi and cleaning of the room and they were very supportive to help. They are also very chill to talk to, like any other coliver!
Another pro is that it is super central, so you can walk to a lot of places or take the tram. The only bad thing is that the co-working and common areas don't have AC, and they don't have laundry. But it was not any major inconvenience that didn't let me enjoy the stay.
I have very good memories. If I went back, I'd definitely go to my coliving!
I’ve been staying here for 3 months and it has been absolutely amazing. I could not recommend more with the accommodation, staff, location, and activities. Definitely the best coliving to stay!
I had the most wonderful time in January 2025 and would enthusiastically recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxed and fun coliving environment. It was my first experience of coliving, and it couldn't have been more positive! All the people I met and lived with were kind, thoughtful, and considerate individuals who struck the perfect balance between socializing and working.
It is in a great location, with a supermarket at the end of the road and the metro station only a short walk away too. If you are keen for more privacy, my recommendation would be to go for the 'double bed - private room' option, as you will be staying in one of the smaller apartments where there are only 4/5 rooms and you will have your own private bathroom. The apartments are incredibly spacious, beautifully furnished, and the kitchen is really well equipped to make cooking really easy. The only minor practical downside is that there is no option to wash your clothes in the building (and the fee to have them done is quite expensive). However, there is a laundry less than one minute away on the same road, so it's not much of an issue. I appreciate that there may be more affordable coliving options in Lisbon, but I feel the quality of the accommodation and community spirit does justify the price!
I also have to say a huge thank you to the staff for fostering such an inclusive and positive environment throughout the community - their ability to bring people together was superb and a huge reason why I loved my time there!
Great place for work, great people, and awesome staff.
Absolutely LOVE it! It is my go-to coliving when I am in Lisbon. You have everything you could need as a digital nomad - community, workspace, lovely home, reliable wifi. I stayed in the 3 bedrooms each time, and they’re surprisingly amazing for a dorm-style room. Feels really fun like you’re having a sleepover with friends every night (and I don’t say that lightly). I requested they change their non-stick pans to metal ones because of all the chemicals, and they actually listened! The team really cares about their guests. I’ve always felt welcomed and made great long-term friends.
Location is a 4 out of 5 simply because I personally like the other side of Lisbon near the bridge. It is in the heart of the city, which is tourist central, so just make sure you wander over to the nice suburbs like Príncipe Real, etc., to explore the most of Lisbon. Everything is in walking distance, so you have access to everything you could possibly want.
So grateful for this place!
The best place to stay in Lisbon.
Incredible facilities, great rooms, a beautiful coworking space, and an amazing, super helpful team. The community dinners are the best — not to mention the surf, parties, beaches, and everything else.
It’s the perfect place to make connections and meet interesting people.
I lived at coliving for two months and it became my home in Portugal. I experienced so much there and created memories I’ll never forget. Highly recommended. 🤍
I stayed at this coliving for more than 5 weeks and I had a truly wonderful time! The location is very central, so all the sights in Lisbon are within easy walking distance.
I had a private double room with a bathroom in the Madalena building, which was quite quiet. I also had access to the community room in the Beco building. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. Once a week, the room was cleaned after a quick check-in with me.
A special highlight was the community – I met so many great people and really felt at home! They organize regular activities, and you can also suggest your own ideas. It was lovely that you could always reach out to the management or the volunteers with any questions, and they regularly checked in to see if everything was going well.
Additionally, there is a coworking space that you can use, including a meeting room for appointments and a phone booth for calls.
One small downside is that there’s no washing machine, but that was mentioned on the website before. There’s a laundry shop just a few minutes' walk away.
All in all, it was a fantastic stay and I’d love to come back!
