Acerca de Pyren'escape
Durante un viaje familiar, justo después del encierro, cuando nos preguntábamos cómo dar más sentido a nuestras actividades, decidimos transformar nuestra gran casa de huéspedes en un lugar de encuentro para personas con ganas de realizar proyectos.
El concepto de coliving, conocido por los niños viajeros, surgió de forma natural y movilizó a toda la familia. Un año y medio después, ya estamos allí y las Terrasses de Saubissan dan paso a Pyren'Escape, el primer coliving rural de los Pirineos franceses.

¿Quiénes somos? Antiguamente Les Terrasses de Saubissan, Pyren'Escape es una antigua granja, situada en el corazón de los Pirineos, donde las montañas son las más altas.
Cuando la adquirimos en 2005, nuestro núcleo familiar, formado por Clairie, Vincent y sus dos hijos, Babou y Yaël, no tenía como objetivo específico la acogida.
Aprendimos en torno a una casa de huéspedes, durante casi 20 años regentada por Vincent, mientras Clairie se dedicaba a la arquitectura, Babou se marchaba a recorrer el mundo como gran atleta y Yaël crecía en silencio.
Y entonces llegó la crisis de los cóvidos, y las preguntas que siguieron. Los padres se dirigían hacia el final de sus carreras profesionales, mientras que los hijos estaban al principio, y nos tomamos el tiempo de reflexionar sobre el futuro de esta granja tan grande, y los deseos de cada miembro de la familia.
Vincent y Clairie querían seguir recibiendo alejándose del ritmo monótono de las vacaciones y dando más sentido a la acogida, Babou y Yaël querían continuar su vida de independientes digitales.
En cuanto terminó el encierro, toda la familia se fue de viaje por carretera durante un tiempo para reflexionar sobre el camino a seguir.
Así nació la idea de un coliving. Teníamos un rincón de paraíso en una región preservada y queríamos poder compartirlo con gente que se tomara su tiempo. El vínculo se encontró entre los padres, enamorados de su territorio (pero a los que les gusta marcharse) y los hijos, ultraconectados con el mundo (pero a los que les gusta volver).
Así que, como nos gustan los retos y porque, en éste, todo el mundo podía encontrar su lugar, creamos el primer co-living rural de los Pirineos franceses.
Clairie y Vincent son la cabeza y las piernas del lugar. Clairie diseña los planos, dirige las obras; Vincent gestiona las reservas, acoge, mantiene y asume el papel de community manager.
Babou y Yaël son los gestores sociales, gracias a sus conocimientos de la web y las redes sociales. Garantizan la visibilidad del lugar, aunque no desdeñan venir a recargar las pilas allí regularmente.

What a fantastic six weeks. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.The house is located in a beautiful setting and is run by the hosts, two absolute legends, together with a team of volunteers who create a genuine community atmosphere. Every week, everyone gets together to discuss what’s happening, which activities are available, and what people would like to do. It’s all very spontaneous and relaxed, with nothing ever feeling forced.There’s something for everyone, from peaceful walks and hikes to more adventurous activities like paragliding and downhill mountain biking. For me, it felt like one giant playground.I was also surprised by how many local events are organized in the area, and every single one I attended was a lot of fun. It’s a great way to meet local people and experience the culture, which I really enjoyed.The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and working remotely with mountain views all around definitely does wonders!Once again, I thoroughly enjoyed every second of my stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for adventure, community, and an unforgettable experience.

So happy that I made the decision to spend some time at this place. Amazing house and people. I enjoyed every moment I spent there and I will definitely go back. There are also so many activities in the area and nice food. Thank you to the hosts ❤️🏞️
Amazing volunteers and a great community! Unfortunately, the rooms are very run down, the bedsheets felt like they have been in use for many, many years in a row, the carpet was dirty and a bit smelly, and all the kitchen appliances were also very old. I still had an amazing time and hope the rooms will be renovated soon! 😊
You'll love it here! The coliving with the big garden, fire pit, fruit trees, hammocks, and terrace is heaven on earth and serves the community really well.
The staff is the beating heart of it; helpful, fun, good spirited, and relaxed, making sure things are running smoothly, but also that the community is woven well together and knows about all possible activities and happenings far and wide.
The coliving and the staff create a great atmosphere, so it was really easy to build a connected, active community and to make some close friends. The internet is good, the office nice, the kitchen well equipped.
And do not get me started on the beautiful nature just behind the coliving, or on both ends of the border - I did many hikes, some climbing, and just lots of being outside and enjoying the peace in the village.
I will definitely come back again (and again).

I had a really wonderful stay at the coliving. The staff was so helpful with arranging car hire and recommendations of where to go. There was a really welcoming, community vibe with activities and shared meals happening regularly. I had an en-suite double room with a nice view. Good facilities, a lovely outdoor space with a beautiful view, and different spaces to work, relax, and socialise.
Experience for life at a fair price! The hospitality and mentality of the people here are superb; this is how I’d live my life with anyone, anywhere, and anytime, thank you all! 🤗
