Woodside is a neighborhood in Queens, very ethnically diverse, and very unexpected. At the few blocks where 61st Street, Roosevelt Avenue, and Woodside Avenue meet, there are at least half a dozen pubs and restaurants. The Alcove is one of the most famous gastropubs in the area. Nothing is better than a glass of red sangria. We recommend the Cuban sandwich with a side of fries. Stop by Dawa’s for some Nepalese food. The buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and baked eggs are freaking out of this world. The Jasha Katsa, chicken is extremely flavorful too.
