Top Questions

Will I have privacy?

Yes—absolutely! Privacy depends on the room type you choose. Private rooms are yours alone, while shared dorms have multiple guests. Communal areas are shared by everyone. If you need a quiet spot for phone calls, feel free to use the workspaces downstairs or ask our team for suggestions.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, we understand that pets are part of the family, and we're happy to welcome small pets for short periods of time! If you have specific questions about bringing your furry friend, feel free to ask. The most important thing is that they are well-behaved so as not to inconvenience other guests. Take them outside several times a day to relieve themselves and clean up after them.

Can I split the rent with my partner or a friend?

Yes—you can split the rent with a partner or friend. Our larger rooms are great for two guests, subject to availability. When you book, please let us know you’ll have two people staying in the room. Extra fees may apply.

Is there a designated space for work?

Yes — we have a dedicated coworking area with high-speed Wi‑Fi, comfortable desks and chairs, and plenty of natural light. There are quiet hours for focused work, power outlets at every desk, and two small meeting rooms you can book through the staff on site.

What types of people will I be sharing the home with?

We welcome every type of guest here! Digital nomads, backpackers, holiday makers and those travelling for business all stay with us here. We wish to make everyone welcome here.

Will I get the same room as on the photos?

Can I tour the property first?

You don´t need to tour the property, and here is why:
- Properties on Coliving.com have pictures and a clear description of the community, rooms, and common areas. Most of them also have 3D or video tours.
- Restricting viewings provide equal opportunities for everyone, whether you are a local or live abroad. Plus, it preserves the privacy of our coliving communities.
- If anything is unclear, you can easily reach out to the property by clicking "Contact host" and ask for more details. Make sure your questions are not already covered in the description or the FAQ section.
- Coliving.com makes sure the coliving property is as advertised, by only sending any money to the operator 24h after you have successfully moved in.
- If the property substantially differ from what is advertiser, you report it to us and we will help you find another place.

Booking

What criteria do you use to evaluate potential renters?

We look for open-minded, considerate individuals who are looking for an opportunity to share a beautiful home with other exciting people.

Is it possible to arrive before the designated move-in time or stay past the move-out time?

Thanks for asking! Early arrivals and late check-outs are sometimes possible if we have availability. Please request your preferred times through your booking message on coliving.com or via the platform before your stay—our team will do our best to accommodate. Luggage storage is also available for guests if they arrive early or check out late.

Can I extend or shorten my stay?

Hi — thanks for asking! Yes, you can often extend or shorten your stay depending on availability. Please let us know as soon as you can so we can check availability; we recommend notifying us at least a few days in advance. Extensions or early departures may be subject to availability and extra fees may apply. To request a change, update your booking through the platform or message our team via your booking, and we'll get back to you within 48 hours.

Policies

Is it permissible to have visitors during the day/night?

We love it when you have guests, and we invite them to enjoy our inviting common areas. Please keep guests out of the bedrooms for everyone's comfort and avoid overnight stays. We also recommend keeping your valuables secure, as we can’t take responsibility for personal belongings.

What is the policy on alcohol?

It’s your home, so feel free to enjoy a drink whenever you wish, so long as you are respectful of your housemates. If you want to party, make sure you do that away from the property. It is possible to purchase cold drinks from our reception.

Amenities

What potential costs are there besides the rent?

We suggest considering renters insurance to help protect your belongings. While your rent covers your living space, everyday expenses like food, transportation, and personal items remain your responsibility.

Are all rooms furnished?

Our common areas are fully furnished to welcome you right away, and each bedroom comes equipped with all the essentials for comfortable living.

Any meals/snacks included?

Meals and snacks aren’t included, but you'll have full access to a well-equipped kitchen for preparing your favorite dishes at any time. Plus, with grocery stores just around the corner, everything you need is within reach. It is possible also to order breakfast from staff at an additional cost every day of the week.

Community

Do you host groups/retreats?

Yes — we welcome groups ! We can accommodate groups in our shared dorms and often host volunteers who may assist during your stay. Please tell us your group size, dates, and any special needs through the platform so our team can help. Pricing depends on availability.

How many people will be living here during my stay?

You’ll usually be sharing the place with three other residents (the host isn’t included), though it can vary with bookings — we’ll let you know if anything changes.

Is there a house/community manager?

Yes. The community manager is responsible for maintaining a good atmosphere in the house and the well-being of the members.
