We are a 2-story house with 6 rooms, 3 of which are AC rooms with ensuite bathrooms.

Our fiber internet ensures that you can work hassle-free.

Founded by Lisi (a freelance UX designer and digital nomad) and Lucky (a local surf instructor), you'll have peace of mind that you'll find the perfect balance of working and exploring.

Hiriketiya Beach offers some of the best waves. If you're new to surfing, Lucky is a certified instructor who will teach you to stand on your board in no time.

We can't wait to welcome you home!

To set expectations: We've only just launched and are planning to install a generator. Until then, there are occasional power cuts in Sri Lanka. Please be aware of this when booking your stay. We will do our best to accommodate you and will give you a heads-up when we hear about planned power cuts from the electricity board.

About Hiriketiya

Near the residence, you'll find many local and Western-style restaurants and brunch places within walking distance. Closer to the beach, you'll find more food options, surfboard rentals, and more.

There's a small corner shop just a hop away from the co-living space, and the beach is only 7 minutes away.

The yoga shala is coming soon (planned for Q1 2025), and if there's anything a little further that you want to explore, we will arrange a motorbike rental for you.

You don´t need to tour the property, and here is why:

- If anything is unclear, you can easily reach out to the property by clicking "Contact host" and ask for more details. Make sure your questions are not already covered in the description or the FAQ section.
- Coliving.com makes sure the coliving property is as advertised, by only sending any money to the operator 24h after you have successfully moved in.
- If the property substantially differ from what is advertiser, you report it to us and we will help you find another place.

Unfortunately not. Sri Lanka has many free roaming animals, and bringing your own pets could cause issues with the monkeys and peacocks that frequent the garden.

Yes, you can split the costs with your partner. Contact us if you want separate invoices.

Yes, we have a coworking space upstairs with Fiber Internet and ergonomic chairs.

You'll be sharing the home with fellow digital nomads, long term visitors or remote workers. Sometimes you might also share it with myself (Elisabeth, Co-founder, freelancer, UX Designer, Podcast host, digital nomad)

Once you’ve been accepted and confirmed your ideal moving-in date, the host will be there to welcome you to your new home. They will help you settle in your room, show you around the space, and introduce you to the other community members. Once we’ve answered your questions, you will be given time to get settled and make yourself at home.

If the accommodation is not suitable, please contact the staff on arrival and they will do their best to find a mutually agreeable solution.

You can cancel free of charge before you pay. After payment, the listing's cancellation policy applies.

Yes, you can always use the shared area if you arrive early or want to stay longer. We also have a staff room where we can safely lock away your stuff on your check-out date if you want to leave your backpack/suitcase with us.

Contact us if you expect to arrive early or stay late and we will see if we can get your room done earlier.

Depending availability, you can extend your stay. If you want to shorten your stay, you have to give us at least 10 working days notice from the day you want to check out.

You may book a shorter stay first and then extend once you know more about your needs subject to availability.

Yes, you can bring friends during the day, as long as it doesn't bother the other guests. During night, if you booked a room for yourself, you can bring a visitor, but when more than 2 people occupy a room, please refrain from bringing a guest over night.

Not yet, but we might offer them from summer 2025.

This depends on the season. During high season (December - April) we expect the house to be almost full (up to 12 people if all rooms are booked by 2 people). Outside of high season you can expect to meet 4-8 other residents.

Yes, our manager Tharindu will be available to help you with any queries about Sri Lanka, organizing a motorbike for you or whatever you might need during office hours (8.30am-5.30pm)

Yes, all doors are lockable from the outside and inside.

We have CCTV cameras installed.

Yes, there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. We recommend Garlic Cafe, Duni Hoppers, Locco's, Smoke & Bitters, La Luna and many more.

You'll find the surf beach 7 minutes away from our place. You can also walk up to Blue Beach for amazing sunsets.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars, jungle gym and you can always hire a scooter to explore areas nearby.
