Will I have privacy?

Of course, your bedroom is private, and in all our houses, we created shared spaces in order to allow you to create memorable moments with your roommates, but also just by yourself if you want to chill on the terrace or work in the co-working space.

Are pets allowed?

Even though we love animals, pets are not allowed due to hygienic reasons and for our members who may be allergic.

Can I split the rent with my partner or a friend?

We do allow couples and friends to stay in our bigger rooms, ensuring there’s plenty of space for your needs and comfort.

Is there a designated space for work?

Yes, and you'll have plenty of flexible workspace options to focus and work. And even in your bedroom, you'll have your own desk to work on.

What types of people will I be sharing the home with?

You don´t need to tour the property, and here is why:
- Properties on Coliving.com have pictures and a clear description of the community, rooms, and common areas. Most of them also have 3D or video tours.
- Restricting viewings provide equal opportunities for everyone, whether you are a local or live abroad. Plus, it preserves the privacy of our coliving communities.
- If anything is unclear, you can easily reach out to the property by clicking "Contact host" and ask for more details. Make sure your questions are not already covered in the description or the FAQ section.
- Coliving.com makes sure the coliving property is as advertised, by only sending any money to the operator 24h after you have successfully moved in.
- If the property substantially differ from what is advertiser, you report it to us and we will help you find another place.

My booking has been accepted, now what?

What information do I need to supply for the application?

During the application process, we will ask you to upload the required documents to conduct the background check.

These may include but are not limited to: government ID, bank statements, employment/student status, tax returns, personal guarantors, etc.

What criteria do you use to evaluate potential renters?

We don't evaluate you; we just make sure we are the right choice for you. And for us, the community aspect and values are the most important things. We care about our members, and that’s what drives us to do better every day.

Is it possible to arrive before the designated move-in time or stay past the move-out time?

You can chat about it during your call with our community management team.

Policies

Is it permissible to have visitors during the day/night?

Yes, for a period of about 7 days per month and as long as your housemates agree with it. Use your discretion; we like to be flexible, but guests cannot pose a disturbance to your other housemates. If they are cool with it, we are.

What is the policy on alcohol?

Moderate and lawful consumption of alcohol is tolerated in our houses. However, it cannot be said enough that alcohol abuse is hazardous for your health. The effects of alcohol on the body and mind can lead to dangerous situations.

The consumption of illegal drugs or substances is prohibited in the building. It is harmful to your health, and you could put yourself or others at risk.

What potential costs are there besides the rent?

We ask for a security fee equivalent to one month's rent before moving in.

We will charge you a one-time fee of around 100 €/$ taken from your deposit when you move out of your room for cleaning and the inventory of fixtures.

Are all rooms furnished?

Yes, they are all furnished.

Any meals/snacks included?

Once a month we deliver in each house a breakfast.

We also bring into each house, once a month, basic grocery stuff such as paper towels, salt, pepper, olive oil, and toilet paper.

Are the private bedrooms cleaned frequently?

Yes, every year we are organizing a big retreat.

How many people will be living here during my stay?

It depends on the houses and the cities, but most of the houses have around 10–15 members.

Is there a house/community manager?

Yes, in each house, we have an ambassador. A member who recommends our brand and promotes it while giving our team feedback to constantly improve the experience.

There is also a video system on the bell.

In our houses, there are also fire detection, fire fighting and protection, safety evacuations, a no roof access policy, and consumption prevention.

Who are your members?

Our members are usually between 21 and 35 and come from all around the world, from the Northern lights of Finland to the sunny beaches of Australia. They are curious and open-minded, looking for new opportunities to connect and learn things.

Most of them are already professionally active and have extremely diverse career backgrounds (health, consulting, finance, digital, …) Or are actively pursuing higher education and internship programs

Our community values are: be open, keep learning, think green, stay foolish, give a hand and be respectful.

What kind of events are usually organized?

Different types of events are organized every month for or by the members. It can be a yoga class, a poker tournament, a citizens' initiative, a private concert, a soccer game or simply a pleasant dinner. We also deliver a monthly breakfast in each home to make sure our members take the time to connect.
