A historic building in the heart of the city, properly regenerated and made cozy, while maintaining the old-time atmosphere, original architecture, and furnishings.

A 130 square meter house with rooms, coworking space, and kitchen, where you can feel at home, work on your projects, and make new friends.

This is not just a coliving space, but one of the pivotal projects in a process of urban regeneration and social innovation designed to breathe new life into the center of the city of Gorizia and promote a new collaborative and inspirational way of living through connecting digital nomads, travelers, creatives, and curious citizens.

In every room, there is a desk, so you could choose to work comfortably on your own or join the other colivers in the shared coworking space.

The property is located in Borgo Castello, a really quiet and safe district full of groceries, bakeries, and local shops.

Just a stone’s throw from our coliving, stands the Castle of Gorizia, dating back to the 11th century.
The castle, in addition to the wonderful panoramic view of the entire city, allows you to discover treasures and history, including ancient musical instruments. Inside, you can visit the Museum of the Middle Ages in Gorizia, the Museum of the Great War, the Museum of Fashion and Applied Arts, the archaeological collection, and the picture gallery.

Not far away, you can admire “Il Giardino Delle Azalee,” which gathers 500 varieties of azaleas, more than 300 types of rare roses, 150 varieties of rhododendrons, 50 varieties of camellias, and 120 varieties of magnolias in a blaze of colors and fragrances.

Collio Isontino is ideal for a regenerative break in a stunning scenic area full of wonderful landscapes to explore on foot, by Vespa, mountain bike, horseback, or bicycle. A perfect food and wine trail for a day because there are wineries, castles to explore, and agritourisms where you can stop to sip a Sauvignon with ham, salami, and cheese along the marked routes.

In addition, Gorizia is located right next to the border with Slovenia, and a few kilometers away, it is possible to visit the city of Nova Gorica, also the European Capital of Culture 2025.

About Borgo Castello

The European Capital of Culture for 2025, Gorizia is a historically significant community situated at the border of Slovenia and Italy. A multitude of cultural events transpire weekly across the city and its surrounding areas. Our coliving is based on the main historical street of the city: Via Rastello, where a multitude of artisan stores and merchants have been situated.

There are numerous local establishments in the neighborhood, including grocery stores, restaurants, taverns, and supermarkets.

Just a stone’s throw from our coliving, stands The Castle of Gorizia, dating back to the 11th century.
The castle, in addition to the wonderful panoramic view of the entire city, allows you to discover treasures and history, including ancient musical instruments and inside you can visit the Museum of the Middle Ages in Gorizia, the Museum of the Great War, the Museum of Fashion and Applied Arts, the archaeological collection and the picture gallery.

Not far away you can admire “Il giardino Delle Azalee,” which gathers 500 varieties of azaleas, more than 300 types of rare roses, 150 varieties of rhododendrons, 50 varieties of camellias and 120 of magnolias, in a blaze of colors and fragrances.

In the main street of our district we have many friends which are running beautiful project about social innovation:
-Chef Chiara Canzonieri: she organizes many local events about gastronomy and she is a personal chef too.
-Quialtrove: is a community hub of artist and social innovators where you can enjoy expositions and meet new friends.

The city is crossed by the River Isonzo, a big emerald river perfect for bunjee jumping and kayaking.
In 30 minute by car you can enjoy many other incredible situations!
