Your ideal base for remote work in Tuscany, immersed in nature and art, nestled in the forest with a breathtaking view of the Mugello Valley.
We offer a unique coliving experience within a dynamic community, accommodating up to 12 people with an average of 6-7 colivers.
We recommend arriving in the first week of the month to minimize disruptions. Arrivals are on Saturdays.
Our community operates without formal leaders, emphasizing the importance of each individual. A community 'un-manager' serves as a point of reference, assisted by volunteers. We foster responsibility among residents for maintaining shared areas, encouraging collaboration.
Our rural house combines new and old elements; the atmosphere blends professional and traditional features. Nature thrives here, with fast-growing plants, abundant wildlife, and a commitment to a sustainable lifestyle.
WiFi and Working Spaces: The house offers a reliable satellite-based internet connection through Starlink, with a backup FWA 5G connection. The average download speed is 200 Mbps, and the upload speed is 20 Mbps. We have two coworking rooms available 24/7. Outdoor WiFi is also available for those seeking an inspiring view while working.
Food and Groceries: We eat dinners together; breakfast and lunch are to be planned on everyone's schedule. Everyone contributes to the cooking and kitchen duties. Planning for groceries ensures all ingredients are available for shared dinners and personal meals. The supermarket is 10 min car away from the property.
Mobility: We provide a shared car for local movements. Residents will have to rent a car for weekends or longer trips. Carpooling is encouraged, and rides to town are often available. Additionally, a pre-booked taxi service is offered by a friendly neighbor.

This is a Forest Coliving Coworking in Tuscany Apennine. We would like to meet people that love wilderness and nature and look for a community experience. We can share our lifestyle and learnings about how to live in the forest (we came from a big town, Milan, 15 years ago). Our community means the gathering of people who share and discuss their perspectives. Our coliving space is ideal for remote workers, digital nomads, and creative nomads. We offer a community lifestyle experience and we believe that is really enriching to share with others! All around nature and the forest provide a perfect place to be inspired and productive in your professional life as well as to ‘feel at home. What can we learn from plants, the way they behave in a community, the wisdom of old trees? For sure staying in contact with plants reduce stress, stimulates creativity, and increases your productivity. It's a place where you first work well, then you share, relax, have fun, and enjoy nature and wilderness!

About Vicchio
We are based in the Mugello region, 30 km from Florence.
From the front door we can start for fascinating trekking and biking and explore the forest and the wilderness: every season has its hits, in summer bathing in the small rivers, in winter find the snow up the mountains, in autumn enjoy the spectacular colors of the leaves, in spring smell the first flowers and assist to nature awakening. Wild animals are even easy to see (or listen to at least). But there even much more, as historical and art places (2nd World War German cemetery, Etruscan archeological sites, castle and palace from the Medici family), musical events (in spring and summer), food and wine excellence to discover. And we will be pleased to share with you our local network of friends, people involved in activities, developing projects on the territory, etc.

If you are traveling with pets and you are thinking of staying on the property with them, please let us know so we can discuss the opportunity together. At our place, we have two dogs and three cats (as well as plenty of chickens and wild animals) living in harmony with each other. We ask the owners of pets to take responsibility for maintaining this harmony by watching over their animals (we do not wish to lock or tie up our animals). We only have one rule that we ask you to respect: animals are not allowed inside the facility (rooms and common areas) to respect all guests. Our animals are always outside.
We offer double rooms for couples. The price of rooms is for two people so If you want to come with a friend, you can split the rent. But if you are alone, you can both stay in the private room as a single room to book a bed in a shared bedroom. It's up to you
You will have plenty of spaces to work: from the private room workstation to coworking room, living room, outdoor places (pergola, garden, hammocks). And with creativity, you can move small tables wherever you want. The wifi signal is everywhere
If you choose a shared bedroom they will be people like you, interested in coming for an experience in the forest, spaces designed for everyone, and aiming to share the bedroom to save some budget for other opportunities. We offer mixed-gender sharing as places are really limited (max 4 in 2 separated double shared rooms)
Once you’ve been accepted and confirmed your ideal moving-in date, the host will be there to welcome you to your new home. They will help you settle in your room, show you around the space, and introduce you to the other community members. Once we’ve answered your questions, you will be given time to get settled and make yourself at home.
If the accommodation is not suitable, please contact the staff on arrival and they will do their best to find a mutually agreeable solution.

The Internacional Galileo Galilei airport in Pisa is 1 hour far and Guglielmo Marconi Bologna Airport is 2 hours far.
Plenty of things, depending on the season: Starting from trekking, biking, bathe in rivers and ponds, visit farms, music events, local events and parties, cultural visits. Florence is just at 1 hr train, but in just two hours by car, you can reach the sea on the Tuscany coast.
That’s right, the meals are self-managed by the colivers who will have to do the shopping. There is a vegetable garden and seasonal products are included in the cost of the stay! The eggs from our hens are also at your disposal. The kitchen is the beating heart of coliving, it will be essential to respect the spaces and the rules of common sense to leave the space as clean as you found it. Cooking and eating together, listening to good music, is a fantastic way to get to know each other and to exchange, a precious moment in which everyone meets after the work day.
Accommodation and supply of bed linen, towels and a weekly housekeeping. Wi-fi internet connection is available everywhere. The equipped kitchen is at your disposal (see section dedicated to food) and also equipped with a refrigerator and dishwasher: we supply you with vegetables and eggs from our production. You have free access 7 days a week at all hours to the coworking room. You can use the barn, a multifunctional room equipped with a video projector. Of course you have access to all the meadows and woods in our surrounding. You will be able to participate in some of our activities as a ‘farmer for a day’, weekly family dinner, bread making, cinema in the barn etc. In addition, if you don’t have a car, we offer a lift from the station on your arrival and departure and minimum once a week we will accompany you to shop (but we move everyday to the village).
At your disposal in the honesty bar you will find various products from our territory and our production: just write down your consumption and then serve yourself, at the end of the week you can settle your bill. It is important for us to base our relationship on trust.
Of course! You can also go there by train from Vicchio station, trains run every hour. If you don’t have a car, you can certainly arrange a ride to the station with us or one of our guests. If you want to stay in the evening we can recommend a low cost hostel where you can stop and experience Florence by night without worrying about returning.
Are you a lover of trekking, mountain biking? There is plenty of choice! Are you fascinated by a territory where wild and cultivated meet? Just take a tour and you can easily spot wild animals, see intact woods, but also vineyards and olive groves and sheep farms. The famous Mugello racetrack can also be visited to see minor events (and not just the MotoGP). Rivers and lakes for swimming in the summer. The history of the Second World War from the Futa pass where there is the Germanic cemetery. The Etruscan finds. Many small villages to discover. And much more….
Perfect, it is precisely what we feel is important: to offer the possibility of staying in a remote place in the woods, to live with the rhythms of nature and the seasons, safely and comfortable, living in the coliving house where we have lived for more than 15 years (before we lived in the city center of Milan!).
