Ocean Park is an older, well-established seaside enclave with a fascinating history in Virginia Beach. It was previously a stop on a 24-mile trolley line that ran from Norfolk in the early 1900s. It was also the location of the thriving Ocean Park Casino until it was destroyed by fire in 1929. Ocean Park is presently referred to be "a very tight-knit neighborhood."
The water is always beckoning at Ocean Park, as seen by street names like Ocean Tide Drive and Whispering Sand Lane. This beachfront hamlet is within a few minutes from Chesapeake Bay. A trip through the area will reveal lovely seaside cottages as well as a mix of modern properties. A few historic properties from the early 1900s can also be found in the region.
Just five blocks from the beach. Ocean Park is truly the best area in Santa Monica. Main Street, with everything from dive bars to coffee shops to a Michelin-starred restaurant, is only four blocks away.
Come and enjoy everything about beach living at its best!
