Our coliving is a large family home that dates back to the 18th century and is located in Purchena, a small village in the south of Spain.
We offer the comfort of modern living with the charm of past times. Our home is filled with artsy details and cared-for spaces where life and work feel different.
The kitchen is the center of our home. It is the lab in which we unleash creativity and cook local, seasonal produce for you. A cozy fireplace in the middle of the room makes it the perfect chestnut-roasting spot in the colder months, and it connects you directly to our family dining room. Here we enjoy our meals and sobremesas.
The outdoor Andalusian patio is the place to chill and chat with others while enjoying the Spanish sun and listening to the chants of birds.
If you’d like quieter spots to read, chat, play board games, or listen to music, our living room facing the main street and our adjacent library is your place.
Our coworking is at the top of the house. A spacious attic with loads of natural light equipped with electric adjustable desks and ergonomic chairs. The meeting room next door has all the necessary amenities to exchange ideas or just chill between breaks.

The group organizer is responsible for the full cost of the stay, including any additional fees, cancellations, or changes. Upon booking or check-in, we'll require your credit/debit card details for any charges incurred during your stay. We may also request full payment or a deposit in advance, especially for certain packages or services.
Your booking is only confirmed once we've received the required details and/or payment. We retain the right to decline any reservation without explanation. Please notify us immediately of any discrepancies in your booking details or costs. Certain rates may be subject to minimum stay requirements, deposits, cancellation fees, and other conditions. Your booking is for a type of room and does not guarantee that you stay in a specific room or in the same room for the duration of your stay. The co-working space is situated on the highest floor of the house, providing views of the surrounding mountains. It is equipped with multiple workstations featuring ergonomic chairs and electric adjustable desks for optimal comfort and productivity.
Additionally, a meeting room is available, equipped with a 4K projector and whiteboard for efficient presentations and virtual meetings. The room also features a comfortable sofa and a hanging chair to foster networking and relaxation.

Will I get the same room as on the photos?The room you will be assigned might differ slightly from the photos but will match the room type. You are booking a room/bed by type, not a specific unit.

Can I tour the property first?You don´t need to tour the property, and here is why:
- Properties on Coliving.com have pictures and a clear description of the community, rooms, and common areas. Most of them also have 3D or video tours.
- Restricting viewings provide equal opportunities for everyone, whether you are a local or live abroad. Plus, it preserves the privacy of our coliving communities.
- If anything is unclear, you can easily reach out to the property by clicking "Contact host" and ask for more details. Make sure your questions are not already covered in the description or the FAQ section.
- Coliving.com makes sure the coliving property is as advertised, by only sending any money to the operator 24h after you have successfully moved in.
- If the property substantially differ from what is advertiser, you report it to us and we will help you find another place. -
My booking has been accepted, now what?Once you’ve been accepted and confirmed your ideal moving-in date, the host will be there to welcome you to your new home. They will help you settle in your room, show you around the space, and introduce you to the other community members. Once we’ve answered your questions, you will be given time to get settled and make yourself at home.

What criteria do you use to evaluate potential renters?We're primarily looking for individuals who are respectful, communicative, and excited to be part of a shared living experience.

Is it possible to arrive before the designated move-in time or stay past the move-out time?Yes, we understand that travel plans can be unpredictable. We're often able to accommodate early arrivals or late departures, especially during less busy periods. Please contact us in advance of your arrival or departure date to discuss your needs, and we'll do our best to make it work

Can I extend or shorten my stay?We're happy to be flexible with your booking whenever possible! If you'd like to extend or shorten your stay, please contact us as soon as you know your new dates. We'll check availability and do our best to accommodate your request. Extending your stay is usually straightforward, while shortening a stay may be subject to our cancellation policy depending on how much notice is given.

Is it permissible to have visitors during the day/night?Day visitors are generally welcome at our coliving. We simply ask that you inform us if you're expecting guests so we can be aware of who is on the property. For overnight guests, please contact us in advance to discuss arrangements. We also ask that all guests respect quiet hours and the Picassa House's rules to ensure a peaceful environment for everyone.

What is the policy on alcohol?We appreciate a convivial and relaxed atmosphere. Moderate alcohol consumption is permitted, with respect for other residents and quiet hours. We ask everyone to consume alcohol responsibly and avoid behavior that could disturb the tranquility of the community.

What potential costs are there besides the rent?Lunch and dinner are not included in the price. However, you have the option to join in shared daily dinners, which cost approximately €40-70 per week depending on the number of residents and the menu. Participation in the shared dinner option is not required.

Are all rooms furnished?Yes, all rooms are furnished to provide a comfortable living space. While the specific furniture items and layout vary between rooms, all rooms include essential furnishing such as a bed (available in single, double, or queen sizes), a wardrobe for storage, and heating. We encourage you to review the individual room descriptions and photos on our website for a complete overview of the furnishings in each room.

What are the laundry options?We have a laundry equipped with two washing machines and a dryer. This facility is accessible without extra fees.

Can I get picked up/dropped off at the airport?The closest airports to our destination are Granada (GRX) and Almeria (LEI). We can arrange a convenient pick-up upon arrival at either location.
Alternatively, for more flexibility, you can consider Malaga (AGP) or Alicante (ALC) airports. While a direct pick-up wouldn't be available, you can easily reach Granada by bus from Malaga or Huercal-Overa from Alicante. -
Can I book additional cleaning?No, additional cleaning is not available.
Common areas are cleaned every 3 days. Bathrooms are cleaned on a daily basis. -
Is there a kitchen where I can cook my own food?Yes, the kitchen is open to the co-livers and any equipment can be used at any time.
Breakfast is served between 9:00 and 10:00. Dinners are shared, and an extra weekly fee might be requested to cover dinner’s food expenses.
Co-livers have to maintain the facility clean after its used. Kitchen is equipped with dishwasher. -
Can I work in the communal area?You can work from anywhere within our coliving space: the serene Andalusian patio with the sound of falling water, the bright living room, the quiet library, or the privacy of your own room.

How many people will be living here during my stay?We can host up to 12 colivers, plus the two founders.

What is the average length of stay?We set a 2-week minimum stay and an 8-week maximum stay (for now). At the moment, the average length of stay is 2 weeks. At coliving.com, you can only book for 1 month upwards.

Is the neighborhood safe?Being a rural location, the neighborhood is generally very safe and peaceful. There's a strong sense of community. While it's always important to be aware of your surroundings, residents generally feel very safe and comfortable here.
