When and how you get paid

Coliving.com collects the guest's initial payment and pays you out 24-48 hours after move-in. Payments after the first month go directly from guest to host, outside the platform.

How your payout works

When a guest books, Coliving.com collects payment from them depending on the move-in date:

More than 2 weeks away — we collect a down payment only (this is Coliving's commission).
1–2 weeks away — we collect the full first month's rent.

If only the down payment was collected, we collect the remaining first-month balance 1 week before move-in.
Once move-in is confirmed, your payout is released automatically 48 hours after the guest's move-in date, via Stripe.
Your payout amount is: first month's rent minus Coliving's commission (the down payment amount).

No action is needed on your part — there's no "request payout" step. As long as your Stripe account is connected, the payout is sent automatically.

Bookings longer than one month

Coliving.com only collects and processes the first month's rent. For any months after that, the guest pays you directly — these payments happen outside the Coliving.com platform, and we don't process or track them.

Q: Do I need to request my payout?

If the guest used Coliving wallet credit as part of their payment, yes — that portion sits in your Coliving wallet and you'll need to request the payout yourself.
For "on behalf of" bookings, no — it's automatic. Just make sure your Stripe account is set up and connected, and the payout is released 48 hours after move-in.

Q: What about rent for month 2 onward? A: That's paid directly to you by the guest, outside of Coliving.com. We don't collect or process it.Related articles
