When and how you get paid
Coliving processes resident payments and holds your share until you request a payout. Here's how the flow works and where to see what's available.
How money lands in your wallet
For each instalment a resident pays:
- The resident's payment clears in our system.
- After internal checks (settlement, any deductions for fees, refunds, or chargebacks), the net amount becomes available in your Wallet balance.
- You request a payout when you're ready — funds move from your Wallet to your bank/PayPal/Stripe.
The exact timing of step 2 depends on the booking type and any settlement holds that apply.
Requesting a payout
- Go to Wallet.
- Check your available balance.
- Click Request payout (or Payouts) when you have a balance ready to move.
- Confirm the destination method (your set-up bank, PayPal, or Stripe).
- Submit. The payout enters processing.
You can request as often as you have a balance.
Transfer time after you request
Once a payout is approved on our side:
- SEPA / ACH bank — typically 1–3 business days to land.
- PayPal — usually hours.
- Stripe — depends on the connected payout schedule in Stripe.
Weekends and bank holidays in your bank's region pause processing.
Where to see what's coming
Wallet shows:
- Available balance — what you can request now.
- Payouts list — history of past payouts with status (pending, processing, completed, failed).
- Per-booking payouts — open a booking to see its specific payout breakdown.

Common questions
Q: Why is my balance lower than the booking's rent? A: Your share is the rent minus the Coliving host fee and any applicable adjustments (refunds, fee VAT, etc.). The per-booking breakdown shows each line.
Q: A payout is "pending" or "processing" for days — what now? A: Check the status in your Wallet. If it's stuck, see Troubleshoot a delayed or failed payout.
Q: Can I get paid automatically without requesting? A: Payouts are host-initiated. Set yourself a reminder if it helps.
Q: Can I see future expected balance from upcoming instalments? A: Your booking pages show the instalment schedule per booking. The Wallet shows what's currently available — instalments not yet paid by the resident aren't in your balance yet.
